Boarding School for the Mythical

I looked at him then pulled my hand from his grasp. "Goodbye..see you tomorrow." I said then turned to walk away. I couldnt help the smile on my face as I walked back to my room. Tonight was a night I would never forget.

Velaric:

I spent most of the night out and only returned to my room a few hours before dawn. I tossed my keys on the counter. If I was smart at all I’d go to the class room now and try to sleep as much before school started. I didn’t do that. I took a long hot shower then made my way through the dorm halls. I found Sphinx’s door very close to mine but didn’t knock. The building was filled with sleeping energy, it only made me less tired.

Sphinx:

"You can stop lurking out there you know." I called out to my vampire friend as I went back to focusing on the project in front of me. Crystal was hard to create, especially this type.

Velaric:

I found my way to Sphinx. “Who says I’m lurking?” I asked while inspecting what he was doing.

Sphinx:

The glowing crystal grew an inch in diameter about once ever thirty seconds. "A gift." I said tiredly. "There is blood in the fridge if you want some."

Velaric:

I laughed and made my way to the fridge. I poured the blood into a glass and went back to my friends sipping it slowly. He was the only non vampire I would drink around. “Do you keep special drinks for all your friends?” I wondered.

Sphinx:

"Of course. I dont recomend drinking what ever might look good from my fridge." I commented flashing him a strained grin before going back to work. I had a chunk of the glowing crystal the size of my chest before I finally stopped. I wiped my forehead with the back of my head before stretching and getting to work.

Velaric:

“A gift for that girl?” I asked sitting across from him watching what he was doing.

I nodded once before waving my hand and conjuring an image of her for him to see and a life sized thing of shade. I then started to mold the crystal to look like Shade.

Velaric:

“Huh, she’s cute.” I said with a shrug. “What’s with the dog?” I asked curiously.

Sphinx:

"Fox, and its her favorite out of everyone and everything in the world. So..." I trailed off letting my meaning sink in. I was making it so Tabitha could have this as a lamp for her room.

Velaric:

“A fox is her favorite thing in the world? Are you sure she’s not… special?” I asked doubtfully. I walked around the room picking up things at random.

I looked up at him and raised an eyebrow. "Wasn't your favorite thing a bat for a while because you used it to bludgen someone and it saved your life by taking a bullet? Atleast her thing is alive, and she can talk to it, unlike you and your crazed moments with the bat."

Velaric:

“Hey, that bat served me well. And I could talk to it if I wanted!” I said defensively. “Besides, that was when I was accepting the whole ‘live forever never age’ thing. I doubt this girl is going through a crisis like that.” I crossed my arms.

Sphinx:

"She is an element user who can't use elements very well if at all." I countered flashing him a grin. "You still owe me a bat."

Velaric:

I laughed. “You said I could have it.” I replied still walking around the room. “I want to meet this girl.”

"She is most likely sleeping." I remarked glancing up at him.

Velaric:

“I would guess. Most people sleep during this time.” I said pointedly. I finished my glass of blood then sat next to him again.

I sighed as I turned over in my bed. My dreams filled with visions of Velaric. Something about him was so mysterious, it made me want to get to know him more. I didn't really care if he was a vampire or not.

Shade’s girl was restless as she slept, she moved him aside with her legs several times, not quite kicking though. He huffed and went to curl up behind her neck resting his little head on her cheek trying to calm her.

Sphinx:

I finished molding the crystal before picking it up. It would weigh 30 pounds but for me that was nothing. "Shall we go burglering?" I asked him with a grin.

Velaric:

I smiled. “Why don’t you go do that? I’ve got to get to the class room before light.” I said. “But thanks for breakfast.”

I nodded before heading off to Tabita's room.

Velaric:

I made my way to the class room. It was already light out but the sun hadn’t quite peaked over the horizon. I stayed in the shade and moved quickly inside. Once I was I my desk I stratched out and tried to sleep as much as I could.

Sphinx:

I imagined the lock open and carried the statue inside, from there it was easy to guess Tabitha's room from the sounds of two breaths. I opened the door quietly before moving over and setting the statue on her dresser, I moved it a bit before nodding in satisfaction and looking at the sleeping Tabitha. I closed my eyes and white rose petals covered the bed and her. I smiled cheerfully to Shade and motioned with my head that he could come with me if he wanted.
