Boarding School for the Mythical

Shade watched Sphinx carefully from his spot next to his pet. She mumbled something but it was barely understandably. Something about water and light. She tossed again and shade bounded down from the bed avoiding being trapped beneath her. He followed Sphinx, more out of curiosity than any affection toward him.

I woke up with a groan the next morning rubbing my head. For some reason every sound that went on around her was louder. I shrugged it off and quickly got dreased before heading to breakfast. I grabbed something simple, that I could eat on the go. Then went to find Velaric, I figured he'd be in our classroom already. I walke inside and found him in the back. I took a seat in front of him and ate my breakfast as I started to sketch.

Velaric:

I was mildly aware of a fresh sweet smell, it reminded me of someone but I couldn’t place it in my sleep. I licked my lips slightly.

Sphinx:

I walked out the door and scooped up Shade and whispered to him. "What say we go make breakfast and then bring it to her?" I asked him smiling as I scratched him behind the ears.

Shade sighed happily and leaned into his hand, his tail swishing absently.

I chuckled and carried him back to my dorm, where I set him down in the kitchen and heated up a plate of meatballs for him before setting it down. I then began to cook pancakes, as well as cut up fresh fruit once everything was ready I put it on a tray and smiled at Shade. "Well lead the way."

Shade smacked his lips after finishing the meatballs then trotted along infront of Sphinx headed back to the room.

I chuckled and when we got back to the room I motioned with my head to shade. "I think Tabitha's neck looks a little too warm....maybe your cold nose could fix that."

Shade shot him a disapproving look then hopped up onto the bed and curled up close to her face covering her neck with his tail. He licked her nose lightly and nuzzled her cheek. She giggled softly blinking awake.

Tabitha:

I smiled and hugged Shade close to me while yawning. I glanced up then let out a startled cry when I saw someone in my room. I yanked the covers up to my chin trying to focus my blurry vision on the person. “Sphinx?” I asked in confusion as I reached for my glasses.

Sphinx:

I sat on the edge of the bed and set the tray on her lap before plucking her glasses off the bedside table and putting them on for her. "Well, that is what I am called usually."

Tabitha:

I blushed and my lips parted in surprise as he set the stray in my lap. I bit my lip slightly at a loss for words. I picked up a white rose petal from the bet and glanced up at him shyly.

Sphinx:

I smiled shyly back. "A gift, as well as that." I said gesturing to her dresser, as I bit my lip.

Tabitha:

I drew in a breath as I looked at what was on top of the dresser. “You got that for me?” I asked, my heart starting to flutter erratically.

Sphinx:

I chuckled and waved my hand creating a white rose that I tucked behind her ear. "I made it for you." I admitted softly looking up into her eyes.

Tabitha:

My blush deepened and I found it difficult to look him in the eyes for more than a second at a time. “Thank you.” I whispered smiling down at my lap. I wasn’t usually taken by shyness but sometimes in the morning, especially when I was woke up with a beautiful boy in my rom.

I smiled at her softly, wanting to ask if she would go on a date with me but also worried she might say no. But I fought past it and blurted out the question.

Tabitha:

I blinked in surprise then nodded readily. “Of course.” I said a little breathily. I couldn’t help but grin at him.

I blinked in surprise before flashing her a grin and practically tackling her in a hug.

Tabitha:

I laughed and hugged him back, biting my lip to keep from grinning like a fool.

Sphinx:

I pulled back and moving just on instinct I kissed her cheek happily my ears and tail flicking.

Tabitha:

I blushed deeply again just before Shade pushed into my lap, wrapping his tail around my waist protectively. He starred at Sphinx clearly trying to make a point. I giggle.

I smiled and held up my hands in surrender to him. "Alright, alright. She is yours, but dont make the mistake that I wont continue to try to steal her heart away from you." I said flashing Shade a grin as I reached over and scratched his head.

Tabitha

I laughed again as Shade reluctantly leaned into his hand.

I smiled and rubbed behind his ears, and petted down his spine with my other hand.

Tabitha:

I neatly slid Shade off of me then climbed out of bed. “I’m going to, um, change for school.” I said grabbing a wad of clothes at random.
