Boarding School for the Mythical

((I’m just going to time skip.))

Dory and Ari sat in the kitchen both drinking hot cups of tea, talking in hushed tones while their sister slept in her room.

Shade stayed curled up on his girl. It was still a couple more hours until dawn and she had yet to wake out of her dream state. He started licking her neck when she moaned softly. A few moments later her eye lashes fluttered. She sat up suddenly, knocking Shade off of her. He scrambled to his feet and watched her cautiously. He movements were sharp, not clumsy and carless like she usually was. She took in a long deep breath and blew it out slowly. The hair rose on his back when she turned her eyes on him. Around her gold iris was a multi colored ring flickering like fire. Shade backed up quickly until he bumped the wall. She grinned wickedly, nothing like herself. He let out a high whine, he was scared of her, or more what was happening to her. But she didn’t try to touch him, instead she got out of bed quietly and went to get dressed. She wore a tight black skirt and a revealing knit top with wide holes showing through to her back and belly. Shade wasn’t sure if the clothes were even her own. She went back over to the bed and leaned down to kiss his head. He hunched down as much as possible before her lips touched his fur. Then she was heading toward the door. He tried to follow her but she nudged him with her foot keeping him from leaving her room. Her eyes had gone back to normal but there was still something very different about her. He stared at the white door, worry pulsing through his body.

Tabitha:

I crept through the dark living room. Ari and Dory’s voices were soft coming from the kitchen, and I caught a glimpse of their backs as I made it to the door. I eased it open and tiptoed into the hall, closing the door soundlessly behind me. I breathed a sigh of relief then grinned to myself as I walked down the halls to Sphinx’s room. I knocked on his door once then leaned against the wall next to it, waiting for him. The thought that it was four in the morning didn’t even cross my mind.

Sphinx:

I opened my dorms door tiredly. I just held it open, used to nocturnal visitors. I yawned showing my sharp teeth before shuffling off towards the couch where I flopped down tiredly, my hand giving a lazy flick to shut the door behind whom ever it was. I kept my eyes closed the entire time, a soft glow still surrounding me. I had been using a lot of it, and it was taking its toll, removing me a bit from a more human state to more of a fox.

Tabitha:

I followed him to the couch and leaned over the back to look down at him. “Sphinx?” I asked softly. My voice was velvet, and smooth. Compelling even, I had never heard myself speak like that. Not that I minded.. I reached down and touched his cheek, energy pulsing off of me.

Sphinx:

"Blood is in the fridge, bathtub is big enough for you to sleep in, and fae food in the freezer." I mumbled putting my arm over my face with a soft groan.

Tabitha:

I frowned a bit and went around the couch to kneel down in front of him. “Sphinx look at me.” I said and pulled at his arm gently.

I shook my head. "Just go do what you need to do...I just had to deal with my friend being an idiot and starving himself, and the girl I like a lot is hurt and with all the powers and gifts I have I cant do a thing about it! Just leave me alone..."

Tabitha:

“Sphinx.” I sung softly, pulling his arm away from his face and laying my hand on his check. I moved in closer and touched my lips to his cheek. “Open your eyes.” I whispered.

I opened my eyes exhaustedly. I turned to look at Tabitha. "You had better have a good reason for doing this..." I muttered softly, blinking at her. I took in her looks before rubbing my eyes and taking a better look.

Tabitha:

My lips curled up as I watched him and slowly took my hair down so it fell around my shoulders. I reached for his hear and gently rubbed it like I would for Shade. “Do you mind horribly me being here?”

Sphinx:

"What...What happened?" I asked in confusion. The out fit she was wearing was...well hot, but different. This wasn't what I expected and I didn't really know what to do about all of this.

Tabitha:

I hushed him and trailed my hand down to his lips before leaning forward and kissing him.

Sphinx:

My eyes widened and I just sat there completely taken by surprise, my body stiff with shock.

Tabitha:

I heard a soft bell like laugh only to realize it was my own. His apparent shock didn’t cause me to recoil, instead I continued to kiss him, urging him to respond, leaning into him more.

SPhinx:

I just gave into my instincts for a little bit, kissing her back even as I felt my heart pound.

Tabitha:

I crawled up onto the couch so I was straddling his lap and continued to kiss him. “I’ve wanted to do this for a while now.” I murmured in between kissing him.

Sphinx:

I murmured into the kiss. "All you had to do was ask...even if your not the Tabitha I'm used too...."

Tabitha:

I laughed again. “Not the Tabitha you’re used to?” I heard myself ask as I pulled back a fraction of an inch to look into his eyes.

Sphinx:

I nodded and looked into her eyes. Showing her my memories of how she was and how she looked, side by side to what she looked like now and how she acted.

Tabitha:

“But you like me like this better, don’t you?” I said, it was like I had no control over what came out of my mouth or what my hands did. I wasn’t exactly opposed to it, seeing as I had wanted to… My hand trailed over his shoulder and chest lightly. I kissed him close to his ear. “Don’t you?” I murmured.

Sphinx:

I shrugged. "I liked your eyes better before. These are cool though." I admitted.

Tabitha:

My eyes flashed dark for a moment but I kissed down his jaw to his neck. “Is that all?” I asked.

Sphinx:

"You look better in green than you do in this, and its rather....revealing....which is vastly unlike you." I said honestly.

Tabitha:

“Vastly? Are you saying you don’t like this?” I asked sitting up a little to look down at him.

Sphinx:

I looked at her clothes consideringly. "I dont know, its not that bad....its just....different. It is kind of....well to be blunt in this language and time. You look like a little bit of a slut."

Tabitha:

My lips parted in slight surprise then my eyes narrowed. “I thought you would have liked it.” I said coldly, my skin started getting icy in parts and hot in others. I didn’t get off of him though.
