Perfect Assassins

Kyle:

“I don’t remember.” I said casually with a shrug. My hand toyed absently with the hem of her shirt, trying to distract her.

"Sweetheart, I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid. Now what was the last thing?" Lexi said in that sweet voice she used whenever she was about to kill someone.

Kyle:

I chuckled and rolled so I was on top pinning her down. “It is possible that I’ve forgotten. You are very distracting after all.” My hand trailed down her side as I spoke.

"Maybe I can help you remember," Lexi said kissing him.

((Seeing as I seriously doubt Tyrial is going to come back ever, what do you say we skip this a few weeks so I can bring Krissy back?))

Kyle:

The first few days that Krissy were gone were like a pleasant vacation. It was wonderful to be mostly alone with Lexi although Eric kept coming back, he was never gone for more than a day. But once the days stretched into a week and I realized She had never been away from me for that long… I started to stress and worry. Eric all along had been trying to find her, but nothing came up. There was less information on her now than whenever she was with us. And there was nothing left to track Michael by. It was like a virus had destroyed everything about them online. I searched the rest of us in PA and it was the same deal.
Was someone pulling strings in our favor? It couldn’t be Krissy or she would have come back by now, even if she was with Michael…
After two weeks of my little sister’s absence, I was in a foul mood as well as being worried sick. I never knew I was quite this attached to her. I had never had time to miss her, she was always just there…

Eric:

I was doing another pointless search, one of many, when my laptop screen went black. A flashing red address popped up and my efforts to make it go away were useless. Finally I copied it down and set off to find it. It was only a few blocks away from where Kyle and Lexi’s safe house was anyway.

Kyle:

I was jerked awake by a pounding on the front door. I recognized Eric’s voice yelling my name. I squinted at the clock as I scrambled out of Bed next to Lexi. It was four in the morning… Went I got to the door I threw it open ready to throttle Blakely but what I saw stopped me. Krissy was limp in his arms with a bloody gash on her forehead matting her wavy hair. “Oh my god.” I took her from him despite his protests and laid her on the couch. She was wearing the oddest clothes. Gray sweat pants and a white cotton top. Nothing like what she ever wore. “Krissy? Wake up. What happened to her? Where did you find her?” I asked Eric. “Just an empty lot close by.”

Lexi woke up, groaning softly. She didn't want to be up, especially since it wasn't even daytime yet. She glared at the clock and saw it was only 4 AM. If Blakely had come over at freaking 4 AM, SHE WAS GOING TO KILL HIM.

She heard whispering in the living room and Kyle wasn't in bed with her. She crawled out of bed and walked out into the living room, yawning. She saw Eric and frowned. "What the hell, Eric? Don't you know what time it-" She cut herself when she saw Krissy unconscious on the couch. "OH my god.... Krissy!" she knelt next to her best friend and looked over her worriedly for any serious injuries.

Kyle:

I dabbed at her head wound with the cloth Eric had handed me. “It’s not bad, just looks like she was hit..” My stomach turned at the thought of someone laying a hand on my sister. “You don’t think Michael…?” Eric asked but I shook my head. As much as I didn’t like him, he had never been rough with her, and I doubted she would have allowed it anyway. “There isn’t a single other mark on her that I can see. Not even a bruise. This is the best shape she’s been in for ages.” I commented on the irony. Her eyes fluttered open. “Kyle?” She mumbled out in confusion. She froze when she looked above me and saw Eric. Her eyes widened for a second then she turned her face away and sighed before passing out again. “Krissy?”

Lexi's eyes glanced toward Krissy's tummy...wondering about the baby. She still wasn't showing from what Lexi could see but...Krissy was wearing a big white t-shirt. "Krissy?" she whispered, taking her friend's hand worriedly and she exchanged looks with Kyle.

Kyle:

“She’ll be fine I’m sure.” I said to Lexi even though I was frowning. “I’m going to go get cleaned up then.. Shout if she wakes up. Kyle, I’m borrowing your clothes.” Eric informed me as he headed upstairs. I scowled after him.
Krissy slept for the next twenty minutes with both Lexi and me by her side. When she woke up again she seemed more aware.

Krissy:

I blinked awake to find my best friend next to me and my brother close by. Not who I wanted to see, but I had missed them desperately. Breathing deeply I sat up and dropped my face into my hand, the other one being taken by Lexi’s. “Krissy?” Kyle asked but I just shook my head, tears slowly began rolling down my cheeks and I shook slightly with silent sobs. Arms wrapped around me and pulled me against a warm side. I curled up and cried on Kyle’s shoulder while still holding on to Lexi’s hand.

Lexi gently squeezed Krissy's hand then hugged her too, resting her head on Krissy's shoulder. She wondered what had happened but she wasn't going to interrogate her best friend for any reason whatsoever. It wasn't like Lexi and Rose...it wasn't that kind of a situation.

Kyle:

I frowned as I patted Krissy’s back soothingly. It seemed like Krissy was always upset or in tears recently, since before we thought Lexi had died. I couldn’t remember the last time my sister was her usual self.
“Krissy? What happened?” I asked once she had eventually calmed down. “I don’t know..” She answered convincingly. I could only detect the false note in her tone from years of listening to her lie. I figured right now wasn’t the time to press her though. “What happened to M-“ I started but she cut me off. “I missed you. I missed you both, so much.” She said softly. I sighed. “I missed you too.” I kissed the top of her head and looked at Lexi to see what she thought of the situation.

"I missed you so much," Lexi hugged Krissy again then let go, grabbing her hand again. "Do you want me to get a bath going for you? So you can lay down and relax for a bit?" she asked worriedly.

Krissy:

“Oh.. I guess.” I said with a shrug. I didn’t really care much. I touched the spot on my head that felt tender. “Oh..” I frowned at the dried blood that came away on my fingertips. I guess Marie could lose her temper after all.

"Alright...Kyle'll patch you up. I'll come back when it's ready," Lexi shot her friend a worried look before disappearing into the bathroom. The sound of running water could be heard.

Krissy:

“I’m fine. Really. I’ll tell you everything once I’ve rested a little. Okay?” Kyle nodded and hugged me again. I headed up the stairs after Lexi but paused outside a room door that was halfway open. “Who else-“ I started to ask when I pushed the door open the rest of the way. I froze in place. Eric Blakely was in the process of pulling a shirt on. “You’re awake.” He said. I backed up against the wall, wide-eyed. “Lexi!” I squeaked.

"What?" Lexi rushed out of the bathroom, a gun in hand, ready and loaded. "What's wrong?" she demanded, then saw Eric standing there shirtless. She smirked. "Oh, come on. He's not THAT ugly."

Krissy:

Eric scowled at her. “I’m far better looking than your pretty boy, girl.” Eric snapped at her. I stared at him.

"Say that again and I'll blow your brains out," Lexi growled, her gun now pointed at his head. "Besides, you don't stand a chance against Kyle." She smirked and tilted her head slightly. "He's as sexy and sexy can get." She looked at Krissy. "Your bath's ready when you are."

Krissy:

“I dislike the red head.” He said to me. I ignored what they were both saying, still in shock. “You’re supposed to be dead. I watched you die. You’re heart stopped. And then the building burned down.” I crossed my arms waiting for an explanation. “Krissy… You were in an extreme emotional state and suffering from blood loss and fatigue. I didn’t die, clearly, firemen managed to get most of the patients out. And I was one of them.” He said. “That was three years ago.” My eyes narrowed. “I was kind of locked up..” “For three years?” He rubbed the back of his neck. “Not quite.” He admitted.

Lexi flicked the safety on and off, seriously wanting to shoot him but she wasn't going to, despite everything. "I'll let him explain but I need an explanation from you first. What happened?" she asked Krissy, slowly lowering her gun. She was still flicking the safety on and off, agitated.

Krissy:

I blinked and opened my mouth but nothing came out. “Yeah, where’s Michael?” Eric demanded. I glared at him. “I don’t have to tell you anything.” I snapped at him and grabbed Lexi’s wrist pulling her into the steamy bathroom.

Lexi walked in and closed the door, putting the gun down. "Krissy. Why won't you talk to us? What happened?" she asked worriedly, watching her best friend closely. "We've been searching for you."

Krissy:

I sat on the edge of the bathtub and sighed. “I was with my aunt, Marie. My dad’s sister.” I said simply.
