Perfect Assassins

Lexi followed them, dragging her feet. She managed to blink her eyes open long enough to see nothing but a blacked out shell. "Oh...Baby..." she whispered, taking Kyle's hand, knowing how much his car meant to him. They had plenty of money, they could easily buy a nicer car but the Maserati meant a lot to him...

Krissy:

I went to his other side and put my hand on his shoulder. “This was my first car.” He said woefully. “I know Kyle.” I hugged his arm. “I’ve had this car through everything.” “I know.” “Before Lexi, before mom and dad died, before I was even an assassin.” I just nodded. “She was my first love.” He said and I had to look down and suppress a smile.

Lexi couldn't help but roll her eyes at the "first love" part but she still smiled softly and squeezed his hand. "It'll be okay.."

Krissy:

Eric walked up next to me. “Yeah, look at the bright side. Now we don’t have to drive to Arizona or wherever. We can fly. Be there by tonight.” He said. Kyle shot him a dirty look. “Its just there were so many memories made in that car..” Kyle continued. I sighed. “I know.”

Lexi kicked Eric in the shin when he said there, glaring at him and his insensitivity. She looked back up at Kyle and leaned her head against his shoulder.

Krissy:

I nudged Eric when her glared at Lexi. “We need to get out of here. Whoever did this knows where we are.” He said impatiently. I sighed. “Kyle, he’s actually right. We should leave. I’m sorry about your car, but really we need to leave.”

Kyle:

I sighed as well. “Okay. Get whatever you need, we’re out of here in twenty.” I said.

Lexi kissed Kyle's cheek gently before letting go of his hand and going inside. She got her stuff together, in a suitcase that was easy to carry and not to heavy. It was mostly full of weapons. Her backpack had all her clothes then there was a smaller bag with all her sexy stuff for Kyle or for doing her hair and make-up for jobs or dates. She was ready and by the door before anyone else. "Hey, babe!" she called to Kyle. "Should I call a taxi?"

Eric:

I smirked.  "Already have, they should be here in the next few minutes."  I told her.  I saw Krissy wonder in from the kitchen looking lost.  She didn't have any bags.  "Where's your stuff?"  I asked.  

Krissy:

"The only things I had were in Kyle's car.  I got these clothes out last night..  And my knives..  That's all I have." I answered solemnly.  "You're going to have to ditch the knives you know.  You can't take weapons on airplanes." he said.  I shook my head.  "I can't just ditch them, they are mine." I almost hissed it.  He didn't understand.  They meant more to me than Kyle's car meant to him.  One was my dad's and the other one and been Michael's...  I sat down on the couch and covered my face with my hands just in case I cried.  "Okay.  Whatever.  You can mail them then."  Eric amended.  

"Easy to do this," Lexi shrugged. "I have a bullet in one of my right bone that never came out when I was younger. I can slip them up my sleeve and slip them to you when they x-ray me to make sure, they'll see I'm right of course. If you can handle me holding them for a few minutes, Kris."

Krissy:

I sighed and nodded. “Thanks Lexi.” I said with a small smile. My brother came downstairs with a back pack and holding my medical back. “I thought that was in the car! Thanks.” I hopped up to take it from him.

"Man...I thought that plane ride would never end..." Lexi sighed and stertched once they were outside of the airport. "The air feels so...dry here."

Krissy:

I was sitting on a bench with the bags piled next to me. Kyle was a few yards away on the phone so it was just Lexi, Eric and me. “I like it. It feels like home.” I replied and shared a brief smile with Eric. We had spent our childhood in the same place after all. It was much warmer here than where we had been for the past several years. I loved it, and I actually had my sleeves pushed up above my elbows, which I almost never needed to do.

Lexi stretched then took off her jacket, wrapping it around her waist, looking around. "There're cacti everywhere...So not used to this...Hey, Krissy! Let's push Eric into some cacti!"

Krissy:

“I’d like to see you try, ginger.” Eric retorted. I rolled my eyes, it was clear that they didn’t like each other but I didn’t know why. Kyle walked up. “The house won’t be ready until tomorrow. But I got us a hotel.” He picked up a couple of our bags and headed to a cab waiting by the curb. Eric held his hand out to help me up but once I was on my feet he didn’t let go. I tried to ignore it but it bugged me so I shook him off and hurried after my brother.

Lexi picked up a few bags and walked over to the cab, helping Kyle put some in the trunk. She smiled up at him, and winked.

Kyle:

I smiled back at her and grabbed her hand pulling her with me into the back seat of the cab. Krissy sat on the opposite side of her and Eric got the passenger’s seat.

Krissy:

“Kyle.” I said in slight annoyance in the lobby of the hotel. “There isn’t a need for three rooms. Seriously. It’s a waste. Just switch to one with two beds for Eric and me. It’s not a big deal.” I assured him at his shoulder while we walked up to the desk for our reservation.

((Arizona))

Lexi made a face. "Um..I don't agree with that Krissy..At all. Like AT ALL."

Krissy:

I scowled at her for disagreeing with me. “It’s fine. Kyle remember when Eric used to spend the night all the time?” I asked looking up at him. He laughed. “Krissy, you were seven.” He said dismissively. “We’re getting three rooms.” I rolled my eyes. “Whatever.” I crossed my arms.

Kyle:

I sighed looking at her. She was so cold. I glanced at Lexi, unsure of what to do. Eric looked like he didn’t care either way.

Lexi could only shrug. Krissy was an adult but...she hadn't told her about the baby, Kyle didn't know, and Eric DEFINITLY didn't know. What with Michael's fate...Lexi wasn't sure that the two of them in the same room, sleeping together would be a good idea.

((They flew to Arizona and now they are checking into a hotel.))

Kyle:

“You know I don’t sleep well by myself. Would you rather I come crawl into bed with you and Lexi in the middle of the night?” Krissy said to which I grimaced. “Fine. Fine! You win.” I said in exasperation. “But you better not touch her Blakley, or I swear-“ “Kyle, I can handle any thing he would do. I’m better than he is.” Krissy rolled her eyes. “Thanks for that, Kris.” Eric scowled at her.

"She's only telling you the truth, Eric," Lexi shrugged, holding hands with Kyle and gently kissing his fingers before letting their hands dropped, still holding each other though.

Kyle:

I smirked and found a similar expression on Krissy’s face. I went up to the desk, Lexi in tow, to change our reservation and get out room keys. “Here.” I held a key out to Krissy. “Be good.” I told her. She rolled her eyes. “We’re right across the hall form you. Feel free to come in any time, nothing is going to be happening.” She retorted.

Lexi smirked. "Well don't come in our room without knocking, just in case," she whispered, kissing the corner of Kyle's lips.
