Daphne found herself in the kitchen pouring a freshly made cup of coffee. She had a bag slung over one shoulder containing her sniper rifle broken down into four parts. She could assemble it and be poised to take aim in five seconds flat. She also had a Sig Sauer in her hip holster. Her hands curled around the hot cup as she joined the others.
Jeremy joined his brother after getting weapons. “Does this alarm mean there is something wrong? Or do we get to enjoy this every time?” I muttered darkly.
