All Hope Is Gone (open)

I kiss her cheek softly and sigh, closing my eyes

Ellie:
"Please don't die," I whispered. "Promise me."

I tightened my arms around her slightly. I didn't want to lie, because odds are I was going to. But I bit my tongue and nodded. "I promise"

Ellie:
I kissed him softly, smiling.

I kiss her back softly, smiling back a little

Ellie:
"Lilith will die. Don't worry," I said to him.

She can kill the apitimy of evil. Even I can't do that. How will she die when she is destined to do the impossible?" I ask raising an eyebrow slightly

Ellie:
"I'll find a way," I said softly.

I sigh and hug her tightly.

Ellie:
"I always find a way," I said softly and hugged him back. "Promise me something else."

Like what?" I ask softly running her back gently

Ellie:
"Just promise," I said to him, my jaw set.

I promise I will be here after this all ends. I will be here for you and Lauren" I say gently

Ellie:
"No. That's not what I meant. I don't want you entering Hell, no matter what. I don't give a shit what happens, you will not enter it," I said to him, looking down.

I can't promise that. You know that" I say shaking my head. "If something bad happens I can't just stay here on the sidelines"

Ellie:
"No. You will stay up here. Down there isn't safe for you," I said to him.

Nowhere is 'safe' Ellie. We're at war with the Devil. I'm suprised I haven't been attacked in years yet. They know where we are"

Ellie:
"They're waiting for you to slip up. If you go to hell, you'll die for sure."

I can't let you go alone, Ellie. I can't" I say softly

Ellie:
"I'm not weak," I snapped.

Never said you were" I say blankly

Ellie:
"You were implying it. Because I can do things myself," I said to him.

I wasn't implying anything. Ellie. I just don't want you going in there without backup. Something bad always happens when one of us goes in alone"

Ellie:
"And you'll die if you go in there at all," I snapped.

I've been prepared to die for a century now. And I've been determined to keep you alive for longer." I say looking at her calmly.
