All Hope Is Gone (open)

Lauren:
"I'm going to try to sleep. Night, Jay," I said to him and went upstairs.

goodnight" I say softly. I decided to stand up and head to my room as well.

Ellie:
I woke up the next morning, not wanting to leave the bed. I wouldn't have to face anything if I didn't get out of bed.

Will
I was laying in bed on my back staring at the ceiling. I didn't know what to do. What to plan, what to think. I was at a loss, when will they attack? How will we defend? what will we do with the kids? I sigh and run my hand over my face and through my hair

Ellie:
I looked at Will, knowing he was stressed. I rubbed his side slowly and kissed his cheek.

my initial reaction was to say something cold to her, seeing as we were fighting before we went to sleep. But I sighed and pushed it out of my mind. "I don't know what to do Ellie." I say softly

Ellie:
"Believe in me," I whispered and smoothed his hair. "We'll win."

As mich as I didn't believe we would I sigh and nod. "Ok, Ellie." I say softly, looking over at her

Ellie:
"Don't lie to me. You don't," I sighed.

I didn't say I did" I shrug and close my eyes kissing her foregead

Ellie:
"Believe in me, Will," I sighed.

I close my eyes and sigh as well. "Okay..."

Ellie:
"None of us will die," I whispered.

I didn't respond to that, just wrapped my arm around her and held her close against me.

Ellie:
I held him close and pressed my face to his neck.
"Don't talk about it right now, okay? I just got back yesterday. Please, just for a few hours, okay?" I asked him and held him tightly.

I nod softly, holding her tight as well. I kiss the top of her head gently, "im sorry." I say softly

Ellie:
"Lets make the best of what we have," I smiled.

I nod a little bit and kiss her forehead softly. "we always do"

Ellie:
"Smile, please?" I asked softly and pecked his lips.

I smiled as genuinely as I could given how I felt at the moment. It wasn't much, but it was all I had. I kiss her gently and pull away

Ellie:
"Don't think about it right now, okay? Please?" I asked him and smoothed his hair.

I wont, Ellie." I say softly, looking into her eyes, just trying to focus on her instead of everything else

Ellie:
I smiled a little and lay my cheek on his chest.

I smooth her hair gently kissing the top of her head softly.

Ellie:
I sat up and moved so I could lay on top of him.
