A Wedding Without a Bride (2 person Closed)

(I LIKE THAT KIND OF OLD!)

"Was I just- nice to him?" I asked myself in quite a bit of distaste. "Oh something is wrong with me, I'm never that soft."

( Not calling it bad, just saying. )

I started to write about my life, at least since the marriage game. I ordered a bottle of wine from the kitchen.

I got the order and send one of my girls to bring it up as I swapped out a tray in the oven for another one.

I drank the whole thing empty, to the last drop. I stuffed all of what I'd written inside, opened the porthole, and flung it into the ocean.

I rang the bell for lunch and leaned against the counter, all gross and tired. Why was lunch always the hardest meal for me?

I stumbled up, drunk. I tried to act sober but failed.

I heard a bit of commotion out in the dining room and I walked out, wiping my hands off on my apron and my eyes zoned in on him. "You've got to be kidding me!" I groaned and signaled for one of my girls to man the kitchen. "Alright, you need to go back to your room." I said walking up to him. "It's the middle of the day, and you're drunk."

"I'll be f-fine. Jush-just give me my lunsh-sh..." I wobbed slightly.

"No. Go back to your room, I will bring it to you there. I rather not have you around the women when you're this- drunk." I noted and frowned.

"I don't c-care about the wom-men! I just wanna be happy!" I teetered and fell down, half conscious.

"Alright, girls. Get him out of here please." I instructed and frowned. "He needs to sober up before he can return to the dining room."

I was taken to my room and collapsed on my bed, sobbing hysterically.

I was back in the kitchen, fixing him up a plate. Why did it not surprise me that he was like every other man? Just a drinker who only cared for himself.

I woke up later, sitting up slowly.

Lunch was long over and I was sweeping up the dining hall, it hadn't been swept in what looked like months- lovely.

I managed to get to the dining hall and saw her. "Ugh... my head..."

"If it hurts quit walking around." I gently scolded. "You should've stayed in your room I could've had one of my girls bring you something."

I sat in a chair. "I just remember being really depressed..."

"Well, there's not really anything I can do help with that." I admitted and leaned against the broom.

( Okay, so her friend messaged me and started saying that the girl had a crush on me and I like her back a bit so I started talking to her nonchalantly and then said "How's a date?" and she got all cutely awkward for a moment and then said yes and I smiled like a doofus. )

"True... That's my problem, isn't it?"

I sighed softly. "Great..."

(Yup that's me! Yeahhh I feel bad for my roommates lol they gotta deal with me)

"Let me get you tea." I sighed and leaned my broom up against the wall and walked back into the kitchen, putting the kettle on the stove.

I drank some when she brought it back. "Thank you."

I gave a small nod and then went back to my sweeping, just letting him- digest his mistakes I guess... He was not in good shape an I didn't want to get myself involved.
