University Roommates

Heather-
I slid some money across the counter to pay for it. I knew it wasn't a lot and he paid for everything so far. I grabbed my shoes and headed to the lane that the guy over the counter pointed to and kicked my shoes off to replace them with the other ones.

Ashton:

I grabbed the stuff and followed her. “You didn’t have to pay.” I said as I set the candy and drinks on the little table then started putting my shoes on.

Heather-
I stood up once the shoes were on and picked out a bright, neon green, medium weight ball to use. "I know I didn't have to. I wanted to." I told him.

Ashton:

"Thanks." I said then put our names into the computer. "You're up first." I told her, getting my own ball that was purple and glittery.

Heather-
I smirked at his ball choice but got up anyway to take my shot. It went right into the gutter and I pouted. While I was waiting for the ball to come back, I put my hands on my hips and looked at him. "How about for every time I dont get a gutter ball, you have to tell me one secret?"

Ashton:

I squinted at her. “What kind of secret?” I asked suspiciously holding my ball in my lap.

Heather-
I picked up my ball and held it in front of my stomach. "You can tell me anything you want. It just has to be a secret." I said, shrugging. "Do we have a deal?"

Ashton:

“Alright.” I agreed. I could tell her whatever I wanted. It was harmless. “What do I get every time I don’t get a gutter ball?” I asked.

Heather-
I shrugged and smiled wide, happy he was playing along. "I got to pick what I wanted, so you get to pick what you want," I said, turning around to take my next shot.

Ashton:

"Same thing goes for you. I want a secret for every time I hit a pin instead of the gutter." I answered, watching her from my bench.

Heather-
I nodded and looked down the ally at the pins. "That seems fair," I said. I aimed myself and took a wild shot at the pins. It rolled all the way down the ally and miraculously, knocked over a single pin. I turned around with a bit of a smirk and shrugged. "So...One secret please."

Ashton:

I already had something ready in my mind. “When I was little I had a friend who bread guinea pigs as a hobby. One day he decided that he was bored with guinea pigs and switched to snakes. HE was going to feed the guinea pigs to the snakes unless he got rid of them first, so my sister and I took all eight of them and kept them in our closet for a few months until we were able to smuggle them to other kids at school.” I told her.

Heather-
I smiled at his story. "That's very sweet of you," I said. "To save the guinea pigs," I continued. I took a seat and gestured at the ball selection. "It's your turn," I said.

Ashton:

My turn went almost exactly like hers, except I got three pins on my second try. "Alright, your turn, what do you have to tell me?" I asked, sitting next to her.

Heather-
I stayed in my seat and turned to face him, thinking a bit. "In high school, I volunteered at a soup kitchen and I dropped a whole tray of sandwiches in front of starving people. So, I ran down to the deli and paid about 200 dollars to replace all the sandwiches I'd ruined." I admitted, smiling sheepishly.

Ashton:

My lips twisted up at the corners a little. “I would have just scooped them up off the floor.” I said teasingly. “Your turn to go.” I reached over and grabbed her green ball and handed it to her.

Heather-
I giggled and took the ball from him before standing. "You can't serve dirty sandwiches to homeless people..." I tsked, like he was serious. I made my way to the ally and took me turn, unfortunately, missing both times.

Ashton:

I stood up to take my turn, but I paused behind the line. "What do I get if I get a strike?" I asked. It was highly unlikely, but it could happen.

Heather-
I smirked at him. "We're just barely managing not to get gutter balls," I said, teasingly. "If you get a strike, I'll kiss you," I said with an air of sarcasm as I slid back into my seat.

Ashton:

A devious smile curled my lips, but she wouldn't be able to see as my back was turned to her. "Deal," I said in a low voice and rolled my ball dramatically thinking it would be epic in I actually got a strike. Sadly it went for the gutter after ten feet.

Heather-
I laughed again crossed my arms. "That was a good try. At least you get another chance," I smirked, as soon as the ball hit the gutter.

Ashton:

I went to get my ball as the machine fed it back. "You watch, I'll get one." I said. My next ball wasn't a strike, but I did hit one pin. "Well that's it. You still owe me a secret."

Heather-
I laughed. "I'll keep my lips moisturized for you," I teased, pulling a Chapstick out of my purse and put it on right as I passed, making sure he could see it. "My next secret....is that I've never been on a roller coaster." I said, picking up my green ball.

Ashton:

My eyes grazed over her body as she picked up her ball. I gave a little sigh to myself. “You seem like the type who wouldn’t.” I commented. “I’m not surprised."

Heather-
I smiled and rolled my ball down the lane. "I don't look like a daredevil to you?" I asked, not even looking at where the ball went as I turned to face him. I just assumed it was a gutter ball. I walked back to grab my ball again and looked back up, confused. "Where are all the pins?" I asked. I couldn't have gotten a strike.
