University Roommates

Ashton:

I had my eyebrows raised when she turned around having watched the ball roll into all the pins.  "You did it.  I don't believe it."  I sat forward.  "So what do you want?" I asked softly.

Heather-
I blushed at the prospect of asking for a kiss and kept the green ball in my hands, even though it wasn't my turn anymore. "I don't know. You can just tell me another secret," I said, quickly to avoid any embarrassment.

 

Heather-
I looked at him with the ball still in my hands and shrugged. "Or...I mean if you wanna keep it fair..." I trailed off with a blush and looked away. "You could...kissme?" I said the last two words quickly and rolled the neon ball between my hands.

Ashton:

I took another step and lifted her face up with a hand under her chin.  "That seems fair to me."  I said huskily then leaned forward and pressed my lips to hers, not too gently, but not rough.

Heather-
I parted my lips ever so slightly when his lips touched mine. My hands moved on their own to rest on his chest as I kissed him back.

Ashton:

My hand under her chin moved to the back of her neck to hold her to me, and I pulled her body against mine with and arm around her waist.  I kissed harder.

Heather-
I grabbed the front of his shirt and tugged him closer, kissing him just as hard as he was kissing me. I felt like the kiss should have been over if we were only doing it for the bet but I didn't want to pull away.

Ashton:

One more moment then I dropped my arm to my side and moved my hand to her shoulder to push her away gently.  I exhaled softly after her lips left mine.  It felt good to hold her, and kiss her, but the minute I stepped back from her I felt guilty somehow.

Heather-
I kept my eyes closed for another couple seconds after he pulled away and then slowly blinked them open, looking up at him. "W-well...I guess it's your...turn." I said, a little out of breath. I smoothed my hands down the front of my shirt, even though it was perfectly straight. I just needed to do something with my hands. I also didn't want to admit to myself that I hadn't wanted him to stop.

Ashton:

I retrieved my ball and took my turn. Both tries were gutter balls. I sat back down on the plastic bench without a word.

Heather-
I looked at him and grabbed my ball. When I took my first turn, it wasn't very steady and it went right into the gutter. I crossed my arms around my waist and looked down at the floor as I waited for my ball to come back. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed. He clearly wasn't very happy about the kiss and he was the one to pull away first, while I had wanted to continue. I was so lost in thought, that I didn't even notice my ball had come back.

Ashton:

I tore open a bag of candy and mindlessly popped a gummy worm in my mouth. The guilty feeling was almost nauseating now. I could tell she saw me as more than just a roommate, more than her friend's brother, and she certainly didn't see me as a brother herself. I had moved in with my sister to get away from drama, not start something new.

Heather-
I took my second turn and managed to knock a pin down but I didn't even ask him for another secret. I turned around and ran a hand through my hair. "You know what? I'm gonna run to the bathroom. You can take your turn!" I didn't wait for his answer before I rushed off to find a bathroom.

Ashton:

I leaned forward and put my elbows on my knees then placed my face in my hands.  This was definitely not what I had planned.

Heather-
I went to the bathroom and took a deep breath. I was embarrassed and humiliated. It was clear he wasn't feeling what I was feeling and I kind of just wanted to go home. I put some cold water on my face and headed back out.

Ashton:

I stood up and walked around  the bench a couple times, pacing.  There was no point staying now.  We weren't good, we weren't having fun, and it was awkward now.  I sat back down and started taking off my shoes.
