Krissy:

I sat in front of a mirror that was lit up all around the edges. For the first time in a long time I actually thought I looked beautiful. Shortly after my wound I had lost weight, and I had looked pale and tired. Now I had gained the weight back, maybe even a couple extra pounds as well, and I had my color back. On top of that my hair had ben twisted up perfectly, I had make up that made my green eyes bright, my lashes long, my lips full, my cheeks glow. I looked better than I had ever before both in face and body, At least while I was clothed. I still had a pinkish-purple scar from my belly button to six inches down, along with all the other white lines that were scattered over my body. But I knew Michael didn’t care about that.

The dress I was wearing made me feel beautiful as well. It was a last minute choice. I saw it and tried it on when we were going to pick up the one Lexi had chosen. It was flattering around the bust then loosened at the ribcage. It wasn’t tight over my belly which made me feel better. It was simple, and pretty, and soft. I couldn’t wait for Michael to see it.

I couldn’t wait, and yet I was incredibly nervous, and a little sad. Marrying Michael meant I would be with him for the rest of my life. It also meant I would be leaving the life I had lived for the past ten years behind. No more killing, but also no more struggling for life. And I would be leaving my friends, my family, sure I would still see them, but it wouldn’t be the same. My life was going to change completely today.

Michael:

I stood at the alter with my eyes closed as I drew in deep breaths. I was marrying Krissy today. Nothing could have ever prepared me for that fact. Marrying anyone had just seemed out of the question. I was the worlds best assassin, or if not the best, then something close to it. Marriage had just seemed like a normal mans fantasy. Not something that I would ever want or get. But I stood before the alter with Jack standing at my side as I was marrying the girl who had changed it all. She had made me better. Made me into something worth while. Something that felt human again. I liked that feeling, and it was all because of her. No longer being an assassin was a small price to pay for what I was getting. I was getting a woman who was beyond beautiful, and lit up my world as it had never been before.

Krissy:

I sat in my chair waiting for Kyle to come get me. Lexi had left when I told her I wanted a few minutes to myself. I had my few minutes alone and now I was just waiting. I wondered if I had misunderstood and I was supposed to meet Kyle in the lobby instead of waiting. But hadn’t Lexi clearly said she would send him when it was time? Maybe he was the one who got it wrong.

I fidgeted with my hands in my lap to keep from touching my hair or makeup. My gradually moved until it was resting over my belly. By now I would have been starting to show a little, we would have heard the heartbeat, probably would have found out the gender of the baby. My heart felt a little tight.

I had never wanted a baby, I had never liked kids, and for the first few weeks after I found out I had accidentally become pregnant I had hated the thing and was planning to get rid of it. Then my mind slowly changed. It was the thought of having more family that swayed me. I loved my family, even though most of them weren’t even related to me. And the fact that I would have a little mini Michael made my heart warm. Now I would never get that chance. It was impossible for me to ever get pregnant again, Eric had made sure of that.

Thinking about it left a twinge of pain in my heart. One moment I had been pregnant and the next I was not, my entire future had changed in one moment. I would never get my mini Michael with beautiful blue eyes and black hair. There was no point even musing about it now… But I did any way. Would they have looked just like him? Would he have been just as beautiful and handsome as his father except with my heart and love of family? Maybe he would have been like Kyle and didn’t trust anyone he didn’t know. Maybe it would have been a girl instead… I immediately pictured a little version of my sister, all bright eyed with vivid red hair with a intense personality, but that wouldn’t have been possible because Lexi wasn’t actually my blood. If it had been a girl maybe it would have looked like me, been like me… But children didn’t turn out like little clones of their parents, it was impossible to truly know what my and Michael’s child would have been like…

But we would have raised it away from the world we had lived it. He or she would have been unspoiled by the filthy life I had grown up living. I knew Michael and I would have been able to protect them better than my parents had protected me and Kyle. We would have loved them, and brought them up properly.

I pressed my lips together and closed my eyes to keep from crying, my makeup was partialy water proof but if I cried now it would have to be touched up, and I would already be teary even before I saw Michael. The knock at the door made me jump slightly in my seat. “Come in!” I called assuming it was Kyle. Since I had been stabbed by Eric, I had started to rewire my brain to the new life I would be living with Michael. It made me a little bit more vulnerable. I didn’t even think about reaching for my knives when the door opened.

As Kyle entered the room I stood up to face him. He stopped and stared at me as if I had just appeared out of nowhere.

“You look stunning.” He said after a moment and held his arms out. I went to him and hugged him tightly. I was definitely going to cry a great deal today.

Kyle took me through the lobby and down a little hallway. We both stopped just before the arched doorway and Kyle let go of me for a moment so he could signal someone, probably Lexi, to start the music. Some odd, up beat violin music came on and Kyle took my hand and placed it on his arm. My heartbeat sped up. I knew the room wouldn’t be filled, I would have been stunned if there were even a dozen people in there. When we turned the corner I saw only the people I truly lover all looking back at me. I glanced up at Kyle and saw he was smiling at me with a carefully controlled face, maybe even a little nervous? Then I turned and my eyes Met Michael’s and my heart just melted.

The waiting was the worst part, all the evil little thoughts that could plague me were. Would I be able to make her happy? She was taking a while was she not going to show up? Was this all for nothing? Was I really good enough for her? On and on my mind went and then my heart seized as the music started. I turned my eyes with everyone else my like a lighthouse giving salvation in a storm my thoughts calmed, my body relaxed.

Krissy was more than beautiful, she was stunningly breathtaking. My heart was seizing for another reason now. This creature, would be mine. Mine. I had never really claimed anything before but now here I was. I didn't even realize my lips were parted in surprise at first but my teeth clicked back together when I did realize. I gazed at her with love, all of my love and everything I had. Today would be the best day in my life and as she got closer I offered my hand out to her, fully knowing that as soon as her hand was in mine I wouldn't ever want to let go again.

Krissy:

Kyle kissed my cheek then let me go and went to stand next to Lexi. I smiled brightly and took Michaels hand, squeezing it in my own as I moved to stand in front of him. I mouthed the words, “I love you.”

I squeezed her hands back, my eyes never leaving her as I mouthed the words back to her.

Krissy:

I held out my other hand for him and held them both tightly while the officiant spoke. Our vows were simple and sweet and I just looked at Michael the entire time. I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I’d be, I was calm once I took hold of Michael’s hands. We exchanged rings and then the preacher lady said we were married and that we could kiss.

The people, the words, the venue. None of that mattered. My whole world, everything I cared about. Was right here in front of me holding my hands. My eyes never left hers, and I didn't even pay much attention to words until, "...you may kiss the bride." I pulled her close and cupped her face with one hand while the other rested on the small of her back. "I love you Krissy O'Shay Night." I murmured softly before I pressed my lips to hers with all my love.

Krissy:

Giggling softly, I wound my arms around him and kissed him back lovingly. I was giddy now that it was all done. I was married. Michael was my husband.

I held her close and only broke the kiss when the cheering started. I didn't want to look away from her but I had to just to help her move down the isle and out of the room.

Krissy

My cheeks were bright pink with happiness and I couldn’t stop grinning. My entire body was tingling and I felt like at any moment I was just going to float away. I never thought I would be so happy to be married.

Our small party followed us down the aisle then Lexi came up to hug me tightly then hug Michael. She lead us and everyone else down the hallway to a little reception room with a large table for us to eat at and an area to dance. It was beautifully decorated with flowers everywhere. Lexi hugged us both again.

I hugged Lexi when she hugged me but soon after her I was nearly bowled over by Jack throwing his arms around me in a bear hug. "Thank you...for always having my back." I murmured in his ear.
"Hey the three of us forever Michael. I'm sure Ebony would tell you the same." He said pulling back to wipe at the tears in his eyes.

Krissy:

Lexi dragged me over to the table and sat me down. She had individual name cards in front of each place setting. There were about a dozen of us tops and she had planned where we were all going to sit. It was a little ridiculous, but I thought she might be compensating for having not planned any of her own wedding, she and Kyle had just eloped.

My heart was in my eyes and I had trouble looking away from Krissy even when people came up to talk to me. But soon enough I was able to shuffle over and sit at my designated spot at the table. I sat down and just suddenly felt tired.

Krissy:

I turned to Michael, beaming, when he sat down. My hand found his under the table and squeezed it.

I laced my fingers with hers, squeezing back as I beamed back at her. "I love you." I whispered softly to her. "Now and forever."

Krissy:

I grinned at him. “I love you too… My husband.” I shivered as I said it then leaned in to kiss him on the lips.

My heart skipped a beat as she called me her husband. I kissed her back, cupping her cheek gently. "Krissy Marie O'Shay Night....my wife." I murmured softly into her ear before turning to look towards the others at the table.

Krissy:

My heart felt light and endlessly happy. Who knew that getting married could bring so much joy. The food was delicious when they brought it out, Lexi had done her research. She excused herself from the table shortly into the meal though.

I was in a whirl of emotions, torn between many things. Krissy was mine forever now, her heart, her name. She was my wife and I was her husband. I couldn't be happier.

Krissy:

A few minutes past and Lexi didn’t come back. Leaning closer to my brother I asked where she went. The restroom he said. “I’ll be right back.” I said after turning to Michael. I kissed his cheek and excused myself from the table.

I heard the sound of retching when I entered the restroom. She came out of the stall and went to rinse her mouth out at the sink. “Are you sick? What’s wrong?” I asked, going over to her. She looked almost guilty when she looked up at me. “No,” She said with a nervous smile then told me. She wasn’t sick, she was pregnant.

I was stunned. I didn’t know what to say or how to react to the news. “Oh Krissy, I’m so sorry. I thought, well I was thinking that it would be cool to be pregnant together, and have them be around the same age, like us. And Kyle and I just got married, and we figured why not? We were never that careful anyway… I didn’t think it would go this way though.” She was genuinely distressed.

I swallowed a lump in my throat. Her reasoning was touching, and had I still been pregnant I would have been happy, and relieved that I wouldn’t be alone. My eyes watered. She took my hands and squeezed. “I’m so sorry.” She said again. I shook my head and smiled, hugging her tightly. “No, it’s okay, I’m really happy for you. I love you so much.” I said into her hair. It was true, I was happy for both of them. I knew they would have kids eventually, they both wanted them. They were going to be better parents anyway.

It took us a few minutes to collect ourselves, she started crying after she saw the tears in my eyes. She had extra makeup with her so she helped me touch up mine then did hers in the mirror. Then we went back to the table together.

Michael:

I chatted with Jack mostly as he was sitting beside me. "Do you think she would be happy to see us married?" I asked him softly after some time.

"Who?" Jack asked, a glass of champagne already pressed against his lips as he blinked at me.

"The last member of us...do you think she would have wanted to see all this?" I said gesturing around. "I always pictured her as the perfect flower girl. Small sized, adorable, and just the right amount of shyness."

"Oh...I'm sure Ebony is happy for you. No matter where in the world she is. She would be proud of all of us, no matter what we did." He said after a moments thought reaching out to put a hand to my shoulder.

I nodded slowly, a soft breath leaving my lips as my eyes roamed the room. A smile lit my lips as I spotted Krissy returning. She was mine, it was still surprising me.

Krissy:

I smiled back at Michael and squeezed his shoulder when I reached him. I sat back down and started eating my food again, everyone else was mostly finished. Kyle was eating Lexi’s abandoned plate.
