Naveen

Talon:

"So long as they stay away from the walls things will be fine. Keep the girls here, those who do not fight will come here at some point while the bells ring. And the Twins always guard the hall because the children will be gathered here." I replied before offering her a smile. "We have done this before with groups bigger than yours visiting us."

Rina:

"Okay." I said softly, turning to go back to my table. I thought he had said twins were extremely rare among his kind, but I wasn't going to question him now. Whatever I had to ask him, or talk to him about, it could wait until he had nothing else to worry about.

Talon:

I went to the door to leave and stepped aside as two elves came through. They were different than the rest. These were giants, easily double my height. They smiled simpleton smiles at me and I returned it. "Defend the doors you two." I ordered them softly to which they nodded and went to the respective doors into the hall.

Rina:

I returned to my table with my few companions. "What's going on?" Maleen asked. "They just have to defend the walls, nothing to worry about."

Talon:

I returned to my room and got suited up. It took me a moment to make my way back and within five minutes I was stood atop the wall looking out into the mist.

Wren:

"Is Talon going to be alright?" I asked, chewing on my lip.

Rina:

"I'm sure he will be." I said simply. I wanted to say I'd hope so, that I wanted him to come back unharmed, but I kept that all in. "Everything will be fine."

I drew in a breath of the mist and I relaxed before I neatly vaulted off the wall. I was a mist walker and the monsters that inhabited the mists were things I could fight.

It took an hour. A long grueling hour in which I got cut half a dozen times and killed who knows how many things. But we drove them back. I wiped off what I could before going myself to the halls to relieve the twins and let everyone know it was alright to move again.

Rina:

I couldn’t help but be relieved that he was back and safe. I couldn’t give it away though, not even to myself. I didn’t want to be attached to him.

I looked like a mess but I approached Rina and the others anyway. The monsters blood was black and seemed to steam slightly. But the red mixed in was all my blood. "Everything is fine now, you are welcome to return to your rooms if you'd like."

Dorian:

"I could take you to the library now if you'd like?" I offered to Wren in an under tone, now that we were free to go.

Maleen:

Rina watched her lap, not looking up to Talon. "Are you oka?" I asked him, getting to my feet to move closer to him.

"Few minor wounds, I got stabbed by some spines but it isn't anything major. The poison is already being purged from my system. I'm okay, honest." I promised with a nod.

Wren:

"Oh, um sure." I said after a moment, nodding.

Maleen:

I studied him with worried eyes before Dorian drew my attention. “We’re going to the library Maleen, would you like to join us?” He asked. I shook my head. “You two go on, I might come in a bit.” I smiled and nodded to Wren to tell her to go.

“Is there anything I can do to help?” I asked Talon softly. “Anything, for you or any of your people? My talents are growing, I could help heal, or something..” I offered. I couldn’t bare suffering, and I wanted to due away with it as soon as possible.

I shook my head, "My healers are going through the troops now. My own power will heal me in short enough time. Trust me, we are used to this kind of thing and we had no deaths. The worst injury is a straight cut down the chest. Deep but not life threatening."

Maleen:

I looked down at the floor. “Okay.” I said quietly. I wanted to do something for him. To help him in some way. But he didn’t need me.

"Hey, if you really want to help you can heal me or something. Or check the infirmary to see the ones who did get hurt. You might even learn a thing or two by watching our healers." I told her softly.

Maleen:

I looked back up at him. “I can heal you, I can to both.” I said with a little nod. I reached out to touch him a little hesitantly, but once my hand touched him the poison from his wound seeped out into the air as gray vapor, and his skin started knitting itself back together. My magic was strong now, and I knew how to use it better than I had before. Though I was nowhere near finished learning, I had only barely scratched the surface.

I let out a soft breath as my body was healed. When she was done I rolled my shoulders and gave a shiver. "Mmm, not bad. I might have to come visit you more often for that."

Maleen:

I smiled happily and felt warmer somehow. “Could you show me to the infirmary? I would like to watch, and learn, and help if I can.”

"Sure." I replied with a nod my eyes sliding over for a moment to Rina who had yet to look at me or even acknowledge my existence.

Rina:

I turned as if feeling his eyes on me. When I saw him looking at me I dropped my gaze to my lap then got to my feet. “I’ll be in our rooms if you need me.” I told Maleen touching her shoulder lightly before walking away. I didn’t say another word to him.

Talon:

I watched her go before shaking my head and turning to Maleen. "Come on. Let's get you to the healers."

Dorian:

I took Wren to the library. IT was a stunning, vast library, I sat her down at a little desk. I went to get her a book that would be simple enough to learn to read. It was a book on magical creatures, creatures that had, or could use magic. Each page had detailed drawings of the creature, then the explanation of what they were and what they could do. “Now, tell me what you know about language. I assume you know the letters and all the sounds they can make?” I asked taking a seat next to her.

"I can only speak it. I don't know what the...letters are or how they make sounds." I admitted sheepishly. I flipped through the book mouth moving silently as I looked at all the different creatures.
