Rina:

I nodded and took his hand to stand up. As we went out of the room, I wrapped the cloak around myself more tightly, to keep in the warmth. I informed the vampire of my plan and why we were not staying for the night. He took us through the halls back outside and set a boat up for us. The water was rough and the air was misty with fine rain, but I thought it was manageable, not so rough as to flip the boat once were were in it. The temple doubled as a light house, the vampire told us. That was where we would aim.

I eyed the dark waters, mentally preparing myself for the trip I'd have to row. I settled into the boat as soon as I could, already being splashed by the frigid waves.

Rina:


I climbed in after Talon and grabbed my oars. He was doing most of the work, but I didn't my best to contribute, he was simple much stronger than I was. The vampire island was invisible in the darkness by the time the rain picked up. It was still light, but the constant patter soaked even the cloak I wore.

I focused on rowing, each pull of the oars straining my muscles as I fought the sea. I didn't have the protection of her cloak and I felt soaked to the bone within seconds of being in the boat. My runic markings glowed as I put my full strength into each pull.

Rina:

What had taken fifteen minutes with only one servant rowing the three of us had now almost doubled. The sky lit up with a loud clash of thunder and the rain came down heavier. The light house was miles away, but with the lightning, we could make out the shore and tree line not too far away. It was very rocky and would probably break the boat to row over it, but there was no other option.

"We have to aim for the rocks!" I called over the storm as I kept up the rowing. Even with my powers my breath ran in ragged pants from the exertion of fighting the storm.

Rina:

I agreed and did what I could to steer the boat. The waves helped push us there but once the bottom raked the rocks there wasn't much we could do. Water started filling in from the bottom, rocks having cracked it's seal. “We'll have to climb over the rocks the rest of the way.” I yelled over the noise all around us. The watter wasn't deep, only a few feet, but we would be maneuvering in slippery water

I abandoned the oars, hopping into the icy depths to drag the boat a bit higher up onto the rocky shore. I offered a hand out to her while using the other to try and brush my sopping hair from running water into my eyes. "Come on, take my hand." I called over the noise.

Rina:

I grasped his hand tightly and together we clambered over the sharp rocks. By the time we reached the tree line my hands were more than a little scratched up. Out of breath, soaking wet, and cold I looked up to Talon under the canopy of a large tree. “We made it.”

I smiled down at her as lightning lit up the sky and her face. I panted softly, "We did." I agreed as I searched her face. I felt like laughing, the dangers we'd faced by dealing with the vampires and the crossing back to the shore making me giddy.

Rina:

I exhaled softly, unconsciously moving closer to him. I flustered smile touched my lips. “Thank you for coming with me.” I said, not having to yell as loudly as before.

"It was my pleasure and honor Rina." I said with full sincerity. I searched her face, knowing she had to be just as wet and cold as I was. But even then, I couldn't help but call her attractive in the back of my mind.

Rina:

I felt a chill go through my body that wasn't from the cold as I looked at him. My face warmed for no reason. I reached up to wring the hater from my loose hair.

I don't know what possessed me to lean down and cup her face in my hands. It could have been the adrenaline, the desire for contact with a living being, my hidden feelings for her. But I couldn't and didn't bother to stop as I moved my lips to hers in a soft kiss.

Rina:

I froze in surprise, my arms halfway up to my hair. It only took a moment for me to kiss him back, meeting his gentleness with a little more energy on my side.

When she added in her own spark into the kiss I returned it tenfold. My hands left her face to wind around her waist to draw her against me.

Rina:

A breath escaped me as he pulled me in. I, in turn, griped his wet arms pulling myself against him more. My brain was long gone, I was only barely aware of the storm still going on.

I lost track of where my lips ended and hers began, and as I tilted my head to kiss her deeper my breathing panted out of my nose.

Rina:

After a few minutes, my hands started roaming for the fastenings of his armor. “Savien.” I murmured in a near moan.

My heart fluttered in my chest as she murmured my name. Breaking the kiss I worked at the fasteners to my armor for her, letting it fall piece by piece. I finished with my gauntlets and chest piece before I sought out her lips once more.

Rina:

I was out of breath again, having only had a moment to have caught it. Once his armor was out of the way, my hands were better able to explore his body.

My own hands took their chance at exploring, running along her skimpy dress and the body full of curves beneath. A groan of desire slipped out of my throat as we explored.

Rina:

I shivered again at his hands moving over my body. “Savien,” I breathed against his lips. “I want you to take me.”

I pulled back at that, desire and lust in my gaze as I started peeling her dress away, starting at the shoulders and working my way down.
