Body Guard

Julie:
I laughed and shook my head. When his hand roamed to my stomach, I knew exactly what he was thinking and I was quick to reassure him that I did not in fact, want to be punished. "No...just informing you that there are flaws in current way of doing things," I told him, matter of factly.

"Did you finish everything you needed to do today?" I asked.

"Well, I have a list of stuff to do. Phone calls to do, some shopping I need to take care of. Always things to do." I kept my hand on her side for a moment then pulled it away. "Need though...I can't think of much I need to do."

Julie:
I nodded and reached down to grab his hand again. I wanted hin to keep touching me, even if just a hand to hold. “I think you need to watch a movie with me.” I said. And if I was lucky, he would also need to make out through the whole thing.

"I need to watch a movie huh?" I laced my fingers with hers, keeping my eyes on our hands while I tried to make it look like I was pondering watching a movie with her. "A movie..."

Looking up I nodded finally, "Fine, we can watch a movie. Where at?"

Julie:
I shrugged. He had a TV in his room, but if he didnt want to sit in here, we could go sit on the couch. “Do you wanna move to the couch?” I asked, readying myself to get up. The bed was comfortable but I could understand him not wanting to linger in it. He wanted to take this slow.

"Sure, it's our go too space. Besides, one of us already got comfy for the night and I need to change so I can be comfy as well." Letting go of her hand I pinched her hip and her yoga pants, pulling the material out and letting it snap back into place.

Julie:
I laughed and swatted his hands from my pants. I got off the bed and smoothed my shirt down. “Ill go pick something. You get comfy,” i told him, pointing at him. I left him room and flopped on the couch with the remote.

It was oh so tempting to swat her butt as she was getting off the bed. My hand twitched for it but before I could even get the chance she was gone. "Does she even realize how she looks in those pants?" I murmured.

Picking up my laptop I put it away before grabbing some clothes. Ditching everything I had been wearing I dressed in pajama pants and an old baggy t-shirt. Stepping out of the room I had the hem of the shirt in my mouth and my chin tucked so I could tighten the strings in the pants and tie it into a bow in the front.

Julie:
I looked up from my spot on the couch, purposely stretched out to give him as little space as possible, like he had done last night. My eyes went right to the little sliver of his stomach that was exposed and I snapped them back to the TV before I got caught looking.

I pretended to scroll through the channels, looking for something good to watch, but now my mind was elsewhere.

"Ready?" I asked, not looking at him.

Brushing my shirt back down once I got the tie in place I looked up and saw her stretched out over the entire length of the couch. Huffing a soft laugh I slowly shook my head. It had to be because I stole the full length of it last time.

"Yeah I'm ready." I considered my options. If she was going to take up most of the couch I didn't have many options. "Do you plan on sharing the couch however?

Julie:

I looked up and him and smirked. Then, I moved my legs to make room for him. "Of course," I said, sitting up. "Because I'm a lot nicer than you," I joked.

I patted the cushion next to me for him to sit and pointed the remote back at the TV. "They're playing reruns of That 70's Show or some Disney movies. Which sounds more agreeable to you?" I asked.

"I would never turn down a Disney movie, though...what ones are running?" I eyed the space she'd freed. If she hadn't moved there was something I'd have done. But I took up the cushion beside her, hooking an arm across the back of the couch behind her as I settled in.

((Noooooooo you cant do that! What was he gonna dooooo?))

Julie:
"Looks like Mulan is first and then they're playing Hercules after," I said, clicking play. Mulan had really only just started. I moved a little closer and got comfortable. I was almost snuggled against his side but I kept a few inches of space between us.

(( Haha, it only occurred to me after I read yours. Spooning on the couch however is what he thought of. His arms wrapped around her, pressed all close and junk. ))

"Good options, better than some of the newer movies." I settled in, glancing at her with a smile. I liked Mulan, between the songs and the humor it was one of my favorite movies. And so I turned my attention back to the movie, trying my hardest not to repeat the lines along with the movie for the parts I knew.

Julie:
As the movie went on, I inched closer and closer until my head was on his shoulder. I actually enjoyed this movie and there were several times I looked up and could have sworn I saw him silently mouthing the words. I smiled and looked back at the TV. If he was being obvious about it, I might have teased him.

When her head settled onto my shoulder I looked away from the movie and at her, a soft smile touching my lips. Kissing the top of her head I focused again on the movie until it finished. "I like that movie."

Shifting my arm so it lay about her shoulders I squeezed her into me. It was nice to just hold her like this. Soothing in a way. Innumerable nights spent fantasizing about doing both little things like this and things far more intimate. I'd said I wanted to take it slow, build the relationship and confirm this was what we wanted before we went too far and had regrets. But it was hard not to go further.

Julie;
I felt more content than I had in a long time. When his arm tightening around me, I shifted again to snuggle closer to his side. A few weeks ago, when he had been in the hospital, this hadn’t seemed possible. Now, I didn't want to let go. I turned my head and kissed his shoulder when I felt him kiss my head.

“Do you want to watch Hercules next?” I asked, when Mulan ended.

"Sure, its pretty good." How far had I come in such a short time. I could still hear the bullets in my ears that had ended me in the hospital. Before that I had seen no real future. Zero desire for kids, minimal desire for a relationship, the future was just working until I died.

My jaw tightened at the thought, and if it hadn't been for her warmth against my side I would have fallen into thinking about it far too much. I had avoided that thus far. Burying the memories and emotions deep.

Instead of dwelling I focused on her, letting my hand rub her side. This wasn't bad. I liked this.

Julie:
I felt my eyes getting heavy as the second movie started playing. It was always amazing to me how easy I was able to fall asleep when he was around. When I was alone, I would toss and turn for hours, wake up from nightmares and get by on just a few hours of restless sleep. When he was in the hospital, I barely slept for weeks.

But when he was around, I slept like baby. I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I was sure my restless sleep last night and early wake up was contributing to my sleepiness now, but I knew him being close was calming.

It was what being safe felt like.

"I think I'm gonna fall asleep if I keep sitting here," I mumbled, with my eyes closed.

"There's nothing wrong with that. We were up late last night, and you had an early morning." I could hear Hurculeas playing but had yet to watch a moment of it. I only had eyes for her right now.

Gently prodding her side I tried shifting a little to get her more upright for a moment, "Get comfy, however you need or want."

Julie:
I sat up and blinked my eyes open, still leaning on him a little. "No, I don't want to go to sleep," I said, shaking my head as I tried to wake myself up. I pointed a sleepy finger at him and playfully glared. "The only reason I was up late last night was because of you," I accused.

"Me?" I protested with a grin. "I did no such thing. I tried going to bed at a decent time, and someone had to be cute."

Gently pushing her off I went to the table to grab the rest of my lunch I'd never finished. Taking it back with me to the couch I dropped down into my spot and winked at her, "But are you really protesting last night?"

Julie:
I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Yeah, you're so innocent," I said, sarcastically. I watched him get up to grab his food and realized in the back of my mind that I should be more hungry than I was. I hadn't been eating as much as I usually did since before the accident.

"But no... I'm not really protesting," I told him. I thought about it for a second and then settled my back against the arm of the couch and laid back. "Actually...I am. You stopped far too quickly for my liking," I joked.

"Oh? Too soon huh?" I pondered for a moment then turned to look at her. Perhaps lunch could wait... "Then would you want a re-do? Something longer?"

I looked to my sandwich a moment. Food or kissing her. I only had one mouth. And it wasn't much of a contest as to what one would be more interesting.

Julie:
I looked at him with amusement. He was clearly torn between me or the sandwich. "Yeah, when you get around to it," I told him, trying not to laugh. "Don't let me stop you from eating though," I giggled and gestured for him to eat. I turned back to the tv with another laugh. It was exactly what I needed to wake up a little bit.
