Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

Brian nodded showing a little that he was impressed. He instructed Ario on how to stand and hold the bow just like he had Araline though she was more impatient.

Ario:

I followed his instructions closely. I wanted to learn how to live out here, not just survive like we had been.

Araline:

Once I had every thing packed away and set up neatly all together I went to watch Brian teach Ario. I had to admit, grudgingly, that Ario was better with that bow than I was. If it had been one at the palace I probably could have nailed the target every time.

Ario:

I fired at the target and hit it. I smiled a bit, but otherwise didn't respond much to it. Brian's training was brutal, but it was efficient.

Brian corrected him on ever little flaw in the way he shot and told him to do it again.

Ario:

I followed his instructions to the letter. I wanted to have no mistakes if I could help it.

Araline:

After a while of instructing Ario on how to shoot, Brain moved on to teaching him how to set traps and snares. Meanwhile I sat on a large rock watching the two. I glanced around every now and then, I had no interest in going over there and trying to learn the same thing only to find Ario is better than me. If I am always going to be with him any way I don't need to know.

Ario:

I glanced over at Araline and smiled softly before focusing again on what Brain was teaching me. I needed to learn this. I wasn't as naturally skilled with this as I was with the bow, but I picked it up fairly quickly.

Araline:

The sky was getting darker and more cloudy as the day progressed. I slid off my rock and went closer to them. “Is going to rain, shouldn't we move on?” I asked planning on moving on whether or not they agreed. “A little water never hurt anyone.” Brian teased. “There are a few caves about a mile off though, they'd make the perfect shelter.”

ARio:


I got to my feet and brushed myself off absently. This had been harder work that I had thought it would be, but I was enjoying myself with learning all of this.

Araline:

“I packed the camp up, but a can't carry it.” I said meaning I didn't want to carry it. I had my bag already around my shoulders.

Ario:

I smiled and nodded. I went over to ariella and poked her nose before going back to camp to grab my pack.

Araline:

I stuck my tongue out at his back as he left. “You'd never be able to guess you were a princess from the way you act.” Brian said sarcastically. How he had any idea about that, I did not know. I sucked in a breath. “I am not a princess.” I said indignantly, rolling my shoulders.

Ario:

I shouldered my pack before going back to where the other two were. I stood a ways away and smiled watching ariella.

Araline:
Brain raised his eyebrows at me. I sighed. “Lead on.” I said but hung back closer to Ario as Brian started moving to the caves he talked about.

Ario:

I walker next to her wondering what she was thinking about.

Araline:

I moved closer to him and looped my arm around his. “What if there actually are no villages and he has just gone insane from being all alone and he is planning on killing and eating us once he gets us in an enclosed area.” I stated my worries softly so my voice wouldn't carry.

Ario:

I smiled at her reassuringly. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you." I said.

Araline:

I made a face. “Yeah but what if he kills you first?” I asked biting my lip. I didn't think this scenario was all that likely but I didn't like Brian all that much.

Ario:

"If he kills me...Hm. Well I hope that doesn't happen, but I trust him. After all he save you didn't he?" I said nudging her shoulder with mine. "Would you miss me if I died?"

Araline:

“Well I would probably starve to death for sure without you.” I said teasingly. “No, I would miss you very much if you died, I would be heartbroken.”

Ario:

"Well then, obviously I can't die right now. I still need to take care of you, and I can't leave you heartbroken." I said smiling warmly.

Araline:

I laughed softly. “Yep, you can't ever leave me.” I said then looked up at him and smiled softly.

Ario:

"Then I won't." I said looking back at her, smiling cheerfully.

Araline:

I pushed him side ways playfully. “You better not, I'd track you down and punish you.” I said smiling.
