Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

Araline:

I Walked along close to the stream before I realized that the cave hadn’t been all that close to it and I was probably getting myself lost right now.

Ario:

I got to my feet. I needed to apoloize again, and find out what I had done to make her mad. I grabbed my shirt and jogged after Araline, following the direction I had seen her go.

Araline:

I stopped walking and looked around. I was in a patch of bright, little yellow flowers and they seemed to stretch out for a while. I hadn’t seen them before, which meant I hadn’t been close to here before. Which also meant I wasn’t any where close to the cave.

Ario:

I lost track of where Araline had gone, so I stopped and started searching for any sign of her passing.

Araline:

I started thinking about if I really was lost how either Ario or Brian would have to come looking for me. At first I thought that would be a little embarrassing, then it occurred to me that it served them right. Why should I have to go back at all? I could do what ever I wanted. When had I ever done what I was told? Let them worry, let them come find me.

Ario:

I refused to rely on help from Brian, so I widened my search to try and find a trail for Araline.

Araline:

I headed down the stream further. I was exploring now, not trying to find some thing. At several points it crossed my mind that I was being silly and I aught to go back to the cave. But I was still mad at Ario. I found a rocky formation right next to the water and climbed up on it. I laid down on it, the sun having warmed it made it feel like the stones back in the palace garden.

ARio:

I was getting worried. I probably had made her really mad, and now she was wandering away from the cave, and I still couldn't find a trace of her.

Araline:

I stretched for a moment then settled in and looked up at the cloudy sky. What if no one came to find me? What if they tried and couldn’t? I worried about this for a while but it didn’t make me act, I liked being here. It seemed like I was truly alone for the first time in my life.

Ario:

I chewed on my lip as I looked at a kind of questionable trail. I let out a slow breath before nodding to myself and deciding to follow it.

Araline:

I sat up on the rock and looked around. Waiting wasn’t as entertaining as I would have thought. There just wasn’t any thing to do when I was alone. I stayed put for a while longer before getting up and walking around the little area. I could explore, it sounded juvenile but what else was there?

Ario:

I continued on, but the woods were growing thicker, more wild with roots and rocks sticking up. I was worried about Araline. I could feel my feelings about her. I really liked her, she was beautiful, amazing, smart, and it always brightened my day to see her.

Araline:

I ended up sitting under the shade of several young trees and picking what I could only assume where wild strawberries. I had a small pile of them on a large leaf and had eaten half of what I picked.

Ario:

I continued on, when I tripped and rolled down a hill. I stopped at the bottom, in pain. I got to my hands and knees and tried to get up but collapsed, gasping.

Araline:

I glanced up at the sky when I realized it was darker than it should have been for this time of day. It was gray and cloudy again. That was great, how was I going to find my way back if it rained again? A drop fell right on my nose as looked up.

Ario:

I eventually managed to get to my feet, but everything in my vision was swimming and whirling around. I stumbled before dropping to my knee's and throwing up from the dizziness. I struggled to my feet once more before falling and rolling farther down the hill. I didn't move once I finally stopped.

Araline:

I stood up and folded the leaf around the strawberries. Maybe being gone this long was enough. I didn’t want to get caught in a rain storm on my own.

Ario:

I could feel the rain, but every time I tried to move, it either hurt, made me black out for a few moments, or the world spun out of control. I knew I was in bad shape, I had to have hit my head.

Araline:

The rain started coming down in more than just a sprinkle. I tripped a couple times as I hurried in the direction of the cave causing me to watch the ground. I stopped seeing what looked like foot prints on the ground. Had Ario already been looking for me? I followed them, it would be the best way to find my way back to the cave seeing as I was not hopelessly lost. I lost the trail in the rain. Standing there for I minute I thought about what I reasonably do. “Ario?!” I called.

Ario:

Eventually I just gave up trying to move, hoping that resting for a few minutes would help me, atleast enough to move. But I heard Araline, and so I tried again to get up. I forced myself to my feet, fighting to keep myself conscious, and the world from spinning. I started heading towards where I had heard her voice, knowing I was in bad shape, but wanting to help her anyway I could.

Araline:

I called again. Maybe it wasn’t even Ario. That thought scared me and I hugged myself. What other choice did I have though? I called once more walking in the direction the trail would have led if it continued straight. It was getting dangerously rocky and hard to get around. I was thoroughly lost. I turned around and made out Ario’s silhouette in the rain. I could tell some thing was wrong right away. “Ario!” I ran to him and of course stumbled several times until I made it to him.

Ario:

"Good...your alright." I managed out before collapsing, my body giving out as I dropped into unconsciousness. My body ached, and it was warmly wet in a few places from my tumbles down the hill. The rain, washed away some of the blood, but it was still visible.

Araline:

I crouched down next to him my mind chaotically fuzzy with worry on the verge of panic. I scanned over him quickly and tried to wake him but it didn’t work. In a few moments I realized I had to get him out of the spot he was in seeing as water was pooling around him. I took a deep breath and wrapped my arms around him pulling him the best I could.

Ario:

I let out a gasp when one of my injuries was dragged over a sharp rock. My breathing became more labored, even as my mind continued to be out of it.

Araline:

I got him under a large tree a little higher on the ground. water was still dripping on us but less so here. I pulled his shirt up so I could see how bad his injures were. The shirt was to much in the way so I ended up tugging it entirely off. I wringed his shirt out then used it to wipe blood off his scrapes. They were pretty bad and I had no way to do any thing about them. After they were as clean as I could get them I got him so his head has in my lap. I could see a bit of blood in his hair which worried me the most.
