Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

Ario:

I raised an eyebrow, and rolled us over so I was pinning her down instead. "Hm, I think your pinned now."

Araline:

My breath caught as I looked up at him for a moment. Suddenly squirming, I said, "That isn't fair!"

Ario:

I smiled and moved enough that she could escape if she wanted.

Araline:

I stopped struggling and looked up at him again, studying his face. I remembered what he had said earlier and a little color came to my cheeks to my surprise. I didn’t blush easily.

Ario:

I tilted my head looking down at her. I noticed the slight blush she had and my own cheeks colored a bit.

Araline:

I moved a but to put my arm behind my head. “Brain will be wondering where we are when he gets back to the cave.” I said casually even as my pulse was quickened while I watched him.

Ario:

"Since when have you cared what he thinks?" I asked her softly, as I looked into her eyes.

Araline:

“I don’t care,” I said smiling, “I am just wondering what he would think. You don’t suppose he would come looking? I don’t think he cares that much about us.”

Ario:

I shook my head. "I doubt he would come looking for us. He seems to like to be alone more."

Araline:

“And then we walked into his life and ruined things. Or at least I did. He likes you. You are more likeable though.” I said pursing my lips in thought.

Ario:

I tilted my head to the side. "How so?" I asked softly.

Araline:

I grinned. “You’re easy to get along with. And you aren’t bossy unlike yours truly. And you are kind, and good natured. And all sorts of other likeable qualities that I apparently lack.” I explained.

Ario:

I disagreed on some of those. She was kind, and good natured. But, not around most people. The bossy part though...that one I could get. I smiled a bit to myself, before smiling fully at her.

Araline:

I grinned watching the thoughts cross his face though I couldn’t tell what they were. “What?” I demanded when he smiled like that at me.

Ario:

"You are bossy, but you are also kind and good natured. Although I think I'm the only one who has seen that side of you." I said smiling softly at her.

Araline:

I smiled. “I guess every one else puts me on edge. That is one of the reasons we left though, is it not? So we wouldn’t have to deal with them any more.”

Ario:

"Exactly. And once I get you to your father, I'm not sure what I'm going to do." I said tilting my head again.

Araline:

“What?” I asked, a little startled by the way he said that. I sat up abruptly. “What do you mean once you get me to my father you don’t know what you are going to do?” I demanded.

Ario:

I blinked and sat back so I was sitting in front of her. "Well, I don't know what I will do. You will have your father, and that is what you wanted right? I don't know where I'll go, or what, I don't want to be a burden on you and your father."

Araline:

I was truly shocked to hear him say that. And I was mad too. How dare he think that! I crossed my arms and scowled at him. “You would just leave?” I asked icily.

Ario:

"For what reason would I stay?" I asked uncertainly, flinching a bit from her tone.

Araline:

I got to my feet and brushed the bits of leaves and twigs from my dress before stomping away back through the ivy without another word to him.

Ario:

I blinked and my shoulders slumped. I had screwed up again...but this time I wasn't sure how I had!

Araline:

I was trying to keep what he said out of my mind as I maneuvered my way through the over growth of ivy and such trying to find my way back to the cave.

Ario:

I rubbed my face and sighed. "Why do I keep screwing up like that..." I muttered to myself before getting to my feet.
