Perfect Assassins

Michael:

I reached over and gave Krissy's hand a squeeze before getting out of the car. I felt calm, both inside and outside. I was only a bit worried about Ebony, anything short of a tank I could see her living through.

Krissy:

I bit my lip and followed Michael into the hospital. “Will!” I said going over to him once we were directed to the waiting room.

"Hey." i say frowning a little

Man:

I glanced up at the two new people who went to Will. I checked my pager and nodded to myself. "Come with me kids, you can see her now." I said as I lead the way.

Ebony:

I was in a hospital room, the steady beeping of a machine watching my heart rate. I had on a mask that helped me breath. It only covered my nose down to my chin. It felt like what a pilot uses. I was in a kind of drugged up stupor, one in which I was both half asleep and half awake.

I get up and walk to her room

Ebony:

I kept my eyes closed when I heard people enter my room. I heard a mans voice say, "If you plan on staying in the room for longer than a couple of hours, I'll arange for some thing to eat for you all." I then heard a door close.

((Ok I'm going to go see a movie, I'll be back on later.))

i look at ebony and frown "i caused this"

Krissy:

I gave The man a fake my as he left though I was a little sullen at being called a 'kid' I probably had way more life experience than he did. I went over to Ebony and looked over her trying to judge the damage. "No you didn't Will." I told him without looking up.

'Yeah i did. If i was more careful i wouldnt have gotten into a gunfight, and she wouldnt have come to get me"

Krissy:

“Well that is true.” I said pulling Ebony's sleeve down a little to see the bandage. “If you had just listened to me maybe we wouldn't be here now.” I said. “But no, people don't like to listen to me.”

"Krissy i already feel like an ass. And im depressed, as usual. Do you HAVE to make it worse"

Ebony:

"Can the two of you shut up? I feel bad enough, I dont want people I care about arguing in my room." I called out, woken up by their voices. My eyes were still closed, and my voice was muffled by the breathing mask.

Krissy:

“I'm sorry.” I whispered. “Though Will was the one arguing with me, just saying.” I stepped back back from her and watched the heart monitor.

Ebony:

My thoughts turned to Will and the heart moniter beeped faster. I let out a soft curse and glared at it. "That just isn't fair..."

"You ok?" i ask eb raising an eyebrow

Ebony:

I kept my face turned away as my cheeks colored. I waited untill my cheeks no longer felt warm, before turning to look at Will. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said.

Krissy:

I hid a smile while watching Ebony. She may have hid her blush from Will but I could still see it.

Ebony:

I caught a part of Krissy's smile and my eyes widened a bit. She had seen the blush! I bit my lip looking at Krissy. I wondered if she knew...how I felt about Will.

Krissy:

I grinned at her. “How are you feeling?” I asked her. “You know, I mean your wound, not...” I tilted my head barely toward Will then smiled innocently.

Ebony:

I felt a small warmth enter my cheeks and I stuttered as I replied. "I-I can't feel it. I'm-m on mor-rphine."

Krissy:

“Ahh,” I said lightly still smiling at her. “It makes you kind of giddy doesn't it? Probably why your cheeks are flushed too.” I was just pointlessly messing with her now.

Ebony:

I looked at her pleadingly. She didn't know what happened to me on morphine...I had no inhibitons, it was practically impossible for me to lie...

I just watch them talk, i lean against the wall

Krissy:

I saw the look in her eyes and stopped leaning back in my seat.
