Perfect Assassins

Lexi approached Kyle, wanting to smack him across the face for no good reason. She felt frustrated and helpless already and the situation was not helping. "Why does Ebony look like my mom?" she demanded, dispensing the formalities. No need for them now.

Kyle:

I was instantly irritated by her attitude. “My God what is wrong with you girls today? How the hell should I know why she looks like your mom? The only clue I have to what your mother even looks like is you.” I said defensively. Krissy's mood had already set me on edge though I was trying to be nice to her since she was hurt. Lexi was clearly starting this, there was no reason for her to be like this with me. I had done nothing wrong.

Lexi chewed on her lower lip, her brows knit with concern. She ignored his tone, knowing she was being a bitch but she NEEDED to find out why. "Krissy's hurt and I have no excuse for being a bitch. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some digging to do," Lexi said, pushing past Kyle. Yes, she was mad he snapped at her, and sure she started it, but he should be nicer considering what she went through recently.

Kyle:

I took a deep breath and turned around following after her. “What do you mean Ebony looks like your mom?” I asked trying to keep my voice steady as I walked next to her.

Lexi stopped, continued to chew on her lip. "Well, she has this same cheekbones and her eyes... My mom's eyes are like mine, the greenish color? Ebony has the same eyes! And her lips are practically a carbon copy of my mom's! I understand a little resemblance to be merely a coincidence but more than one example?! She has to be family! But my mom didn't have a sister or a brother that had children."

Kyle:

I closed my eyes for a moment and put my hand on her shoulder. “Lexi,” I said slowly, eyes still closed, “Please do not take this the wrong way, and I know you probably are, but maybe you should just take it easy for a little while.” I opened my eyes watched her cautiously as I went on. “You aren't all the way recovered yet, you don't have all of your memories back. You might be making some thing out of nothing here.”

"But I told Ebony I would find out!" Lexi whined, knowing Kyle was right, no matter how much she fought him, he was almost always right.

Ebony:

I watched Will, and noticed his reaction when Lexi left. "You like her don't you?" I asked my voice sounding curious.

Kyle:

“Then go and tell her you're sorry. Knowing you, you probably scared her by making a huge deal of it.” I told her more softly and smoother her hair back before kissing her forehead.

Michael:

I pulled Krissy gently closer and pressed my lips against her cheek. "So what are the plans right now?" I asked softly pulling back a bit to look into her eyes.

"I'm not going to apologize for something I didn't do," Lexi replied, making a face at him.

Kyle:

“Whatever.” I said letting go of her. “Then tell her you made a mistake. I don't care what you tell her, really, just clear this up.”

Krissy:

I sighed, leaning on him slightly. “I don't know. Apparently I have bad judgment again and I'm not allowed to make any plans for the foreseeable future, according to Kyle.”

Michael:

"And this is going to stop you how?" I asked my eyes dancing mischievously. "I know you too well to think you will just start listening to your brother now."

Krissy:

I giggled softly and grinned. “Believe it or not but I actually used to mostly listen to him. I started to stop around the time I met you” I said and kissed his jaw line lightly.

Michael:

"Oh am I a bad influence on you then? I think that might justify why he doesn't like me then." I said smiling warmly at her.

"It won't be cleared up until I checked her background thoroughly," Lexi aruged, making a face. "I doubt Michael knows but if he does know anything, please ask him to share what little information he may have."

Krissy:

I laughed again. “I wouldn't say bad, but you most definitely are an influence.” I admitted, smiling back at him.

Kyle:

I sighed and leaned against the wall, studying her with a dull expression. “You can ask him yourself, but I still think you should drop this.”

Michael:

I winked at her before leaning my face close to hers. "I blame Jack, he always knew how to get me into trouble. Although I should thank him for giving me the chance to meet you." I whispered my face a few inches from hers.

Krissy:

“Mmm,” I mumbled absently, looking into his eyes. “Maybe I should thank him as well.”

Michael:

"I'll tell him later for both of us." I said reaching up with one hand and brushing it against her cheek gently.

Krissy:

I tilted my head a little into his hand and smiled brightly at him, my cheeks flushed with affection.

Michael:

I continued to gently stroke her cheek, my other arm staying around her waist. "Your beautiful, you know that?" I told her softly.

Krissy:

I blushed a bit more, grinning and dropping my gaze. I tightened my arms around his neck, my body fat against his, and looked back up. “If you say so.” I answered quietly.

Michael:

"I speak only the truth." I said my thumb running lightly over her lips once before going back to her cheek.

Krissy:

My eyes lit up with playful skepticism. “Always?” I asked fluttering my eyelashes and smiling. “Something makes me doubt that.”
