A Personal War (closed)

"Wake me up when we're near something, or when we stop. Please?" I asked and kissed his shoulder.

i nodded more to myself "alright"

"Love you." I said softly and yawned a little bit.

i smiled "love you too"

I smiled and closed my eyes, falling asleep between his breathing and the rock of the horse.

i continued on in the silence for quite some time

I woke up a little bit later, sitting up and cracking my back, glancing around. "How far have we gone?" I asked my voice still a little groggy.

"we're in the next state up now, we're gonna stop here in a bit too"

"We are? Already?" I asked. "Wow, have I been sleep for a long time then?"

"about six hours really" i said calmly

"Six? Why so long?" I asked him a little bit surprised.

"we needed the distance and couldnt waist the light"

"Oh." I said and a last yawn popped out. "When are we stopping next?"

"depends, are you hungry?"

"Yes." I said quickly, my stomach killing me. "I'm starving."

i smiled and steered into a small copse of trees "then we'll stop now"

"You sure? I can always wait a little longer..." I said sitting up a little bit.

i shook my head "no it's fine, we'll stop here"

"Alright." I smiled a little bit and leaned my cheek on his back again.

i stopped the horse inside of a small clearing and helped her down

I jumped down and kept my hands on his shoulders. "Thank you." I smiled and kissed him.

i held her just a moment longer to make sure she didn't fall

I chuckled and stepped back, taking my bonnet down and letting my hair out. "I guess I should go and look for any water nearby..."

"if you feel, you should, i'll get all of this set up here"

"Alright." I smiled a bit. "I'll be back sometime then."
