Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

Araline:

I studied him in the dim light, the feeling in my chest turning into a dull pain.

Ario:

I mumbled softly in my sleep "Araline no matter what I am your friend..."

Araline:

"Come help me with this." I heared Brian call from the mouth of the cave.  I sat up quickly and hurried out.  "what?" "strip this of the leaves and put them in the pot." he said handing me a branch and pointing to kettle over a fire.

Ario

I slipped off into a deeper sleep. But my dreams remained feverish and strange.

Araline:

"This is disgusting!  What are you going to do with this?  You aren't going to make him take it." I said more of a statement then a question.  "Its a concoction for his wounds to draw the infection out." he explained.  I made a face and held my nose as the hazy green slime bubbled.  A bit later I went in to get Ario.  "Wake up.  We're going to do stuff to you but you have to come out in the light." I said touching his shoulder.

Ario:

I groaned softly and I obeyed her. I was easy to control when I was half asleep, something that she would know.

Araline:

"That's right." I said soothingly taking him out side and sitting him down.  "I'm going to put this disgusting stuff on your cuts okay?  It may sting." I said.  "Its going to burn like fire kid." Brian added.

Ario

I shrugged and yawned my head drooping.

Araline:

I held back a squeal of utter revulsion as I stuck my hand in the goo the lathered it onto his cuts.

Ario
I gasped in pain at the contact the groaned as it felt like my cuts were on fire.

Araline

"I'm so sorry!" I apologized feeling him tense under my hand.

Ario

I didnt respond just stiffened waiting for more burning pain.

Araline

I finished And Brian gave me the strips of fabric to bandage with.  I smoothed Arios hair back once I was done.  "There.  Do you feel better?"

I didnt answer and just sat there shaking and sweating. I was tired beyond belief.

Araline:  

"We ought to let him sleep I said.  I spent the rest of the after noon with Brian.  I got the recurring g feeling that he didn't like me.  He grilled some kind of meat that I didn't want to know what was.  He also told me a bit about his home, that he had a son about my age.

Ario

It was late wheni finally woke up. I blinked at the ceiling above me, uncertain of what was happening.

Araline:

I returned back to the cave after more archery lessons.  I was irritated that I couldn't get it right when I was so good back at the palace.  "oh you're awake." I said glumly.

Ario

I turned my head and looked at her. "What happened?" I asked tiredly.

Araline:

"You were spaced out, thinking there was a wolf in here and talking to a Brian who wasn't there." I told him.

Ario

"I cant remember anything that happened yesterday..." i said rubbing my head before trying to get to my feet.

Araline:

I felt my cheeks flush lightly. "That's probably best. How are you feeling?" I asked.

I made it tomy feet and winced as i stretched. "Horrible..." i said before i noticed her flush. "Um...did i do something wrong?" I asked noticing her blush.

Araline:

"Nope." I said bluntly as I got to my feet. "You did think my hair was purple at one point though."

I blinked and flushed. "You only get that tine when your hiding something...but i wont press you for details."

Araline:

"Well I'm not telling you all of it, it was a long day and you talked nonsense for most of it. It'd take hours to fill you all in." I said casually.
