Boarding School for the Mythical

I blinked taking in her outfit. I opened my mouth but no words came out. I swallowed nervously a faint heat coming to my cheeks. "You left your sweatshirt at my place yesterday." I said holding it out to her. It was odd, something about seeing the adorable half asleep look on her face, combined with her clothes was rendering me rather speechless.

Tabitha:

“Oh..” I took the wet shirt then blinked at him again. “Do you want to come in? You look cold.. And it’s pouring out there.” I mumbled shifting my feet as Shade came to stand between them.

"If its not to much trouble." I replied stepping around her into the warmth of her place. I looked around curiously, leaving my hood on as usual. Even soaked and damp I preferred to keep my ears and tail hidden.

Tabitha:

I closed the door and leaned against it slowly waking up. “I think I have a t-shirt of my brother’s if you want. It might be a little small but… It’s dry at least.” I offered, my eyes locked on him.

I shifted consideringly before nodding. "If you would be ok with it." I said politely, hanging up her wet sweatshirt. I kept my eyes on her face, even though it was drawn to her skin.

Tabitha:

“Sure. I’ll go get it.” I went to my bedroom to look through the shirts I had. It was actually one I slept in sometimes. It had made it into my stuff when I left. I came back and handed Sphinzx the blue shirt.

I took the shirt and stepped into her bathroom. I stripped out of my shirt and sweatshirt, hanging them up on the towel rod to dry before putting on her brothers shirt. It was tight, and left nothing to the imagination as to my chest and stomach. I had always preferred form fitting over tight like this. I stepped out of the bathroom only to run into her, my arms flashing out to grab a hold of her to keep her from falling. The heat came to my cheeks again, but I kept my ears and tail in check.

Tabitha:

I gasped softly. “Oh.” I breathed my hands somehow managed to be flat on his chest. I blushed.

Time felt frozen for me as I stood there looking into her eyes with my golden ones. This was the closest I had ever been to her, and it was making me feel funny. My body tingled, my stomach was all fluttery, my cheeks were warm, and part of me wanted to get closer.

Tabitha:

I looked up at him, my mind blank and fuzzy. My lips were parted slightly from the surprise. “I-uh.” I mumbled awkwardly and stepped back from him turning away to hide the deep flush. “Would you like some coffee or tea, or something.. hot.” I asked slowly, glancing at him with the last word.

Sphinx:

"Coffee please." I said shifting in place. I wasn't sure if she was talking about me with the last word or a drink. I was so out of it by what was going on that I lost control over my ears and tail, both moving absently.

Tabitha:

I kept my back to him as I went to the kitchen, hoping my blush would fade. I started the coffee maker. I pulled on a long sleeved shirt I had draped over a chair. At least I wasn’t as indecently dressed, though my shorts were pretty little.

I followed her my ears laying back as my tail flicked nervously.

Tabitha:

I turned around after starting the coffee then paused staring at him. Was that a tail. I blinked and looked up to his face, unable to hide the surprise.

I blinked at her wondering what she was staring at. Color came back to my cheeks as I stood there. "W-what?"

Tabitha:

“I see why Shade likes you now.” I said simply. I had seen a lot of crazy stuff, this was no different.

I blinked and I felt my tail flick behind me. I sighed and nodded. "I'm a freak I know..."

Tabitha:

I reached out and touched his arm gently. “Aren’t we all? Especially at this school.. I can’t even control my powers.” I shrugged and smiled softly.

I smiled back, stepping closer to her with out thinking. "What do you think then? This is the first time you have seen me with out my sweatshirt."

Tabitha:

I drew in a quick breath at the question, unable to keep my eyes from flickering over his body. “I- I d-don’t know what you mean..” I said softly blushing and restraining from biting my lip as I looked back to his eyes.

I blinked in confusion. "Huh? This is the first time you have seen me not wearing my usual sweatshirt with a hood up. Plus you also get to see my ears and tail, so what do you think?"

Tabitha:

“Um..” I looked down at the counter ordering myself not to stare at his body. “I don’t think its.. um… unusual..” I said slowly.. Except he was unusually gorgeous was all..

Sphinx:

I tilted my head and lifted her chin to have her look at me. "Its hard to truely evaluate something if you dont look at it Tabitha." I said softly. "I have no idea if you really mean what you say if you dont even look at me." I opened my mouth to continue but I trailed off as I looked at her curiously, my hand moving to stroke her cheek gently before tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Tabitha:

I focused on not hyperventilating, but I couldn’t control my heart spazing out. “I… think you should go without your sweatshirt.. more often.” I told him while forced to look into his eyes.

"Why?" I asked not really paying attention, my mind else where as I continued to stroke her cheek. I was exploring what was going on inside of me, trying to figure out what it was and why she was doing it to me.
