A Personal War (closed)

i shrugged "it's just a matter of opinion"

I looked at him, frowning a little. "Did I offend you?" I asked quietly.

i shook my head no. "no, i was just pointing out that it's merely an opinion"

"Even is I didn't I'm still sorry Nik. It was out of line and rude, I never should've said it out loud." I sighed and shook my head looking away from him.

i put my hand on hers "it's fine, really" i said

I sighed and looked down at him, a slight smile on my lips. "You are so understanding..."

i nodded and smiled

I slid my hand out of his and rested it on his cheek for a moment before taking it away and taking hold of the reins again.

it was a while but finally we came to a main road close to town. I smiled with relief and led the horse to the nearest inn i could find

"Finally." I said and closed my eyes, feeling absolute relief. I looked at the inn then at him."Do you want me to stay out here and you see if they have any rooms?" I asked him.

i nodded and handed her my revolver "just in case. i'll only be gone a short while"

"But- I've never held a gun before. How do I use it?" I asked getting a little nervous. I didn't want to hold a gun in my hands, I hated guns. They caused so much death to innocent people in this war.

i sighed "hold it with the muzzle away from you. Point at what you want to shoot, then squeeze the trigger..." seeing the look on her face i lightened up " it's just a precaution, i don't expect you'll have to use it"

I bit the inside of my lip and held it, keeping it away from me. "Fine." I grumbled and looked at the inn. "Just hurry."

i nodded and walked through the door and to the bar. I got the attention of the owner and talked prices for a little bit

I just sat the eon the horse holding this- vile weapon and wishing he would hurry up so I could give it back and get a decent bath I hope. I really really hoped.

after a while we settled on a price for two days. ironically the only room open was the honeymoon suit

I started humming again, getting a little impatient again. "How long did it take to make a deal in a place like this?" I grumbled, shaking my head a little.

i stepped outside and motioned for her to bring the horse around back

"Take this first." I said and held it out to him.

i sighed and took the gun

I felt so much better without it and started to rid the horse around tot he back of the building.

i went through the building to the back hall where the rooms where and it opened to the outside

I dismounted and took in everything, not risking anything getting stolen. I dragged it all inside and looked at him, panting a little. "I'm going to need some help."

i smiled and took a majority of it. "last room on at the end"
