Perfect Assassins

I rubbed her back slowly. "There is nothing to be sorry for Krissy. I promise you that okay?"

Krissy:

I pulled back just a little to look up at him. After a moment of looking into his eyes I sighed. “I love you. I will always love you, even if I get single minded sometimes. I would never intentionally do anything to hurt you.” I said softly.

"And I will always love you too, no matter how much you might fight me." I whispered into her ear before drawing her lips to mine.

Krissy:

I put my hands behind his neck and kissed him back a little desperately.

I pulled her close, still mindful of the blood entering her arm, tilting my head a bit into the kiss.

Krissy:

My fingers inched up into his hair holding him to me as I continued to kiss him.

I pulled her onto my lap, cupping the back of her head and pressing my other hand to her back.

Krissy:

I made a breathless sound when he pulled me into his lap. I broke the kiss for a moment to pull the tube out of my arm.

When she pulled away to pull the tube out of her arm, I turned my head enough where she couldn't kiss me immediately. I looked at the bag to see how much blood she had regained.

Krissy:

I felt annoyance flicker through me. “It’s practically all gone.” I said as I took the bag down and set it aside. It was mostly gone but it was still about a fifth full.

"Mmhmm, I will make a deal with you. Finish the bag, and I will do anything you want." I gave her a small smile. "I will even sweeten the deal, while you are finishing it, I will give you a massage."

Krissy:

I paused for a moment, considering it. “Or, we could do things now, and I could finish it later.” I suggested putting my arms around his neck and smiling charmingly.

"Or I suppose I could just stop kissing you completely." I mused, winking at her. "You didn't listen earlier, think of this as punishment."

Krissy:

“But that’s not fair!” I whined. “I didn’t even lose that much blood. You don’t need to punish me...” I fluttered my eyelashes innocently and brought my hand just under his chin to trace his bottom lip with my thumb.

"If you didn't lose that much blood why were you woozy enough that Ebony who weighs less than you do by a lot was able to pin you just with her body weight?" I countered, shivering a bit under her thumb.

Krissy:

“I didn’t even try to get up. I was letting her think she was stronger than me..” I answered “Honestly, I don’t even need the extra blood.”

I traced her cheek gently. "Do it for me...please." I whispered softly, letting my concern for her fully show on my face.

Krissy:

I sighed and crawled out of his lap to get the bag and reinsert the needle in my arm. “This is unnecessary.” I muttered.

"No what was unnecessary was yelling and getting angry at Ebony because she cares enough for your safety to sit next to you and feel your pulse while you threatened her with a knife." I remarked softly.

Krissy:

I looked sideways at him. “I didn’t yell at her. And she threatened me with a knife first. All I did was hold onto it.” I said flatly.

"And point it at her when all she was doing was trying to help." I remarked dryly, putting my hands on her shoulders to turn her around.

Krissy:

I shrugged off his hands and turned so my back was against the couch again. I watched the ground without responding to him while crossing one arm over my belly holding my other just below the tube.

I sighed softly through my nose and just watched her, waiting for her to react or respond. This was the exact same as before, she wouldn't listen. And so there was nothing I could do but accept it and wait.

Krissy:

I took in a slow breath. “Why are you needling at this? Do you think I don’t feel guilty?” I asked turning my face slightly toward him to look at him. My throat was getting sore from emotions. “I love Ebony. I wouldn’t ordinarily want to hurt her, I wouldn’t ordinarily threaten her. Do you think I don’t feel like scum when I see her upset because of me?” I drew in another deep breathy, shaky now with emotions. “And she’s the least of my worries! My oldest friend is furious with me for what I’ve done, I can’t stand that. I can’t stand the fact that I actively tried to hurt him. That while he was gone images of stabbing her played through my mind and weren’t repulsive to me..” I closed my eyes tightly for a moment and pressed my lips together. “I’m beyond guilty. And again, that’s trivial compared… Knowing that if I had just paid closer attention… If I had caught it sooner, I could have prevented Kyle from getting so bad. Now it may, and probably is, too late for him. And I’m powerless.” I dropped my gaze back to my lap as my eyes swam with unwanted tears. I trembled and dug my fingers into my arm. “And on top of it all, I’ve hurt the man I’m in love with. I would rather claw my own heart out with my bare hands than cause you any pain yet I’ve gone and done it anyway! How am I supposed to fix any of this? Not when I can’t even control myself..”

Michael:

I reached out and touched her cheek with my hand, gently stroking her cheek. I pulled my shirt aside to expose the spot over my heart. "Well...I always figured if things hurt that kisses can make them feel better..." I remarked quietly.
