Boarding School for the Mythical

Tabitha:

“But what are we doing here?”  I asked, getting a little hysterical.

Sphinx:

I spun her in my arms and brought my lips to hers to try and calm her down. When I pulled my lips away from hers I whispered softly, "The other you brought you here. For now, calm down and relax. I will explain once you are calm."

Tabitha:

I looked at him uncertainly then settled my head on his shoulder trying to calm myself.

I hummed softly in her ear, "I like hugging you...your soft and warm and smell like the tree's."

Tabitha:

I smiled tiredly. “Why am I here?” I asked after my head had cleared a little and my heart had steadied.

"That is a bit of a long story. I can tell you why you are here, but I haven't a clue how you got here. For that we have to find and talk to Velarric." I told her, before picking her up in my arms. "But first I am kind of hungry and sweaty. So you my dear are going to accompany me to both getting food and taking a bath."

Tabitha:

I was silent but my mind was a whirl. I had been with the vampire? I had been with the vampire and not Sphinx while I wasn’t myself. I was worried about what I might have done.

I leaned down to kiss her cheek. "The adventure with my friend started because I was angry. You and he were arguing over me...well the other you. Getting angry at each other, fighting. I got tired of it, and so I told them that either they come and get me together. Or I would not be coming back into either of their lives." I kept my eyes forward as I spoke.

Tabitha:

I didn’t say anything. I was disturbed that the other side of me had that much control. I was also disturbed that he talked about it so easily. It didn’t bother him. “You left me with the vampire?” I asked quietly.

Sphinx:

I looked down at her. "Does that bother you? If it does I can set you down now and leave. Both of you in your head have to learn that I care about all of my friends equally just in different manners. Velarric has been a friend for a long, long time. He made a mistake, get over it and forgive. He means well."

Tabitha:

I pushed away from him and landed on my feet lightly. “It does bother me.” I said honestly. “He did something that damaged me. Forgive me if I am not too eager to be alone with him. He frightens me, I won’t pretend that he doesn’t.” I let out a sigh. “If that is a deal breaker then leave. The best I can do is try to be okay with him. But right now I’m not. I am afraid of him. And I’m afraid of myself. And I’m sorry if I’m not happy that the two that scare me most were left alone together.” I was blinking rapidly trying to keep my eyes from watering.

I stood there looking at her tiredly. This again...it seemed no one trusted me to pick who I associated with. And she was holding onto a grudge. "So bit it then." I lifted my arm to the side and a portal came into existence beside me. It stayed open for a few seconds before flickering out and vanishing. I looked towards it and frowned before looking at my hand. It was trembling and I couldn't get it to stop.

Tabitha:

Tears started swelling in my eyes as I watched him. He was going to leave me here. All alone. My heart started beating quicker as panic slowly rose.

I lifted my head and saw the tears and the panic. I moved over wordlessly and wound my arms around her body. "I wasn't going to leave. Not yet. I was going to offer you to come with me...but I am too tired it seems to open a portal. After some rest I will be right as rain." I gave a shy smile, fully believing my words.

Tabitha:

I clung to him and buried my face into his chest. I gave a little nod. “Just whatever you do, take me with you. I don’t want to be alone with myself.” I mumbled.

I nodded and then sighed softly in her ear. "I have bad news though...I need to talk to Velaric..." I told her in a quiet voice. I knew it wouldn't be something she wanted to do, but it needed to be done. I couldn't open a portal, and I needed to talk to someone about it. I would talk to her about it, but she might not understand the implications.
