Naveen

Rina:

I pulled the flap aside when I head no answer. Maleen jerked up gasping wildly and fluttering her eyelashes in confusion.

Wren:

Maleen jerking awake brought me out of my dream, but I did little more than groan and hide my face into her side.

Maleen:

I let out a little breath and looked at Rina. “Is everything okay?” I asked worriedly. She nodded. “Everything’s fine. I need to talk to you two.” She said as she crouched at the opening of our small tent.

Wren:

The continued noise and commotion roused me more and I stopped hugging Maleen and rubbed at my eyes before blinking at Rina.

Rina:

“Do you two want to stay with this group? We don’t have to, if either of you feel uncomfortable..” I started. “I like it with them, it feels safer.” Maleen chimed in, soft spoken as always.

Wren:

I nodded and yawned, "Talon and the soldiers have been nice to us." I gave a stretch outwards of my arms.

Rina:

I grimaced inwardly. “Really? Are you sure you want to stay? Because I am perfectly fine if you two want us to leave.” I said. Maleen shook her head looking puzzled.

Wren:

I nodded again, "Calus has been teaching me a lot about puzzles and riddles while we have been with them."

Rina:

“Who is Calus?” I asked, taken aback.

Wren:

"He is tall and skinny, and really really nice." I told her with a sharp nod.

Rina:

I sighed. “Okay, we’ll stay, but don’t get to attached to these people. It’s temporary.” I warned them.

I nodded, before flopping sideways into Maleen. "Did you get some sleep?" I asked her softly.

Rina:

Hurry and get ready you two.” I said before leaving them.

Maleen:

I gave a small smile to Wren. “A little.” I told her.

I smiled brightly at Maleen, "I'm glad. You need to rest, you have been working hard for days."

Maleen:

“We should get ready to leave like Rina said.” I said softly.

I nodded and stretched one more time, before sliding away from her and out from under the bedroll we shared.

Maleen:

I got up and stepped out of the ten. “I’ll be back in a second, I’m going to get us some water.” I told Wren.

I nodded and started packing everything up inside the tent.

Maleen:

I started walking through the camp, an empty canteen in my hands. We did need water, but I was actually looking for Talon.

Talon:

I had gotten all of my weapons sharpened to my preference, and so I was watching the camp from my already packed up tent. My soldiers were already done with gear checks and their tents and were helping out those who still had yet to do it.

Maleen:

He was easy to spot with his light hair. I made my way to him through the collapsing tents. “Uh, May I talk to you?” I asked from behind him.

I turned my head and gave her a slight smile. "Sure, take a seat or we can move someplace else if you wish. None of my men will bug me."

Maleen:

“No, this is fine.” I said softly, hesitating before sitting down. “I wanted to ask you something…” I trailed off bashfully.

Talon:

I waited patently, my head turned to face her. I let my eyes check her out, gauging how she was doing health wise. I hadn't spent much time with her, but in comparison to when I first met her she seemed to be doing better. That relief finished, I focused on her eyes instead. She was attractive, I gave her that. But I had someone else I was more attracted to.

Maleen:

I looked at my map for a moment before looking up at him. “I was wondering if you could help teach me…” I said quietly. “I’ve been studying books so far… But I’m not very good… It might help to have someone who knows how magic works…” I said to my lap, fidgeting with my hands.
