| Nathanial: I was miserable the second we pulled up to the street. I had to go with my sister because the parents were having dinner guests over with now kids allowed. My sister was paid off to take me with her. The blaring music and the density of the bodies in the house made the experience a nightmare. I found a little alcove and settled there. I stretched out over the bench to keep anyone from thinking I wanted company. For a couple hours all I did was read my book. I was halfway through by the time I noticed her. I watched her for a couple minutes before I put my book down and moved over to join her on the couch. | |
