University Roommates (Restart)

Ashton:

"I guess you're going to have to get used to it if we're going to be friends," I said more or less accepting that there was nothing more I could do to deter her without hurting her more than I already had.

Emily:
Was he saying that we were friends now? "Fine, I'll accept that you're stubborn if you stop being so moody all the time," I said, half joking

Ashton:

After a moment I said, "I'll stop pushing you away." There was nothing I could do about mood swings. I hadn't been lying when I said I had a bad day, that had drastically effected my actions, particuarly with the smoking.

Emily:
I shrugged. "Fine, I guess I can deal with that," I said. Now that I wasn't spiting him anymore, I reached over and grabbed my water and took a few sips, hoping it would help in the morning.

Ashton:

I smiled inwardly when she gave in. She was every bit as stubborn as I was, no matter what she thought. I settled in to watch more of the movie knowing that she would likely talk through the rest of it now that she wasn't as angry with me.

Emily:
I sighed, more content this time and set a pillow down on the cushion right next to him. Then I laid my head on it and rolled to my side to watch the movie. "Okay, now you made my miss my favorite part, so really, we should rewind it, but i'll let it slide this once," I said, yawning.

Ashton:

I chuckled softly and shook my head. "We can always watch it again tomorrow," I said, looking down at her. I rested my arm over the back of the couch above her.

Emily:
I turned my head to look up at him and smirked. "I don't know. You seem to talk through every movie we watch," I teased, because I knew for sure that almost every conversation we've had during a movie was started by me.

Ashton:

“Is that so?” my lips quirked up at the corners as I glanced down at her. “Must have picked that undesirable trait up from a friend,” I said. It was hard to accept that she was going to be my friend. But for better or worse, that’s where we stood.

Emily:
"Did you?" I asked, hiding my smile in the pillow. "Well tell your friend they sound really cool." I teased again. I yawned and reached up to poke his shoulder. "But just for the record, I only say interesting things during movies"

Ashton:

I snorted. “Sure you do,” I told her with a small shake of my head. How could I not be friends with her when she made me feel this way? Besides, she irresistibly adorable.

Emily:
I giggled. "Hey! I do!" I said. "You're the only one who doesnt shush me so you like it, dont lie!" I said. I sat up to grab the throw blanket off the side of the couch and covered my legs. "Do you want some blanket?" I asked, holding up one end of it.

Ashton:

I shook my head. “No, I'm not cold at all.” I looked her over, seeing where this was going to go. “But if you're getting sleepy you should go to bed. Otherwise you’re going to fall asleep here, and then what am I to do with you?”

Emily:
"Then youre gonna leave me on the couch" I answered, putting my head back down. "I have to finish the movie," I said, with another yawn. "So we really have to do something about your talking habit because you're still doing it," i said.

Ashton:

I raised my eyebrows at her and pressed my lips together to show I wouldn't say another word. I was mentally counting the seconds before she spoke on her own. My bet was less than thirty.

Emily:
I settled down and fought my heavy eyelids. "Did you like the pairing of Ron and Hermione or did you think it was forced?" I asked after Ron appeared on screen. I didn't even realize I had started talking again.

Ashton:

Twelve seconds. I shook my head in amusement. “I liked it. There's a lot of set up for it. I think Harry and Ginny was forced though, especially in the movies.”

Emily:
"Oh yeah in the movies they had no chemistry" I said, closing my eyes. I was still awake, just resting... I told myself.

Ashton:

I found myself watching her more than the movie. “It was really awkwardly done, I thought.” I murmured down at her. She was totally falling asleep.

Emily:
"Mhm" I mumbled, trying to stay conscious. "Although the girl who played Ginny wasnt a great actress so maybe thats why," I said. I buried my face a little further in the pillow and sighed.

Ashton:

“At least she was hot,” I commented just for the sake of keeping the conversation going. I wondered how long she could stay awake if I was talking to her. She seemed like she was half asleep already.

Emma:
I cracked my eyes open and sleepily looked at him. "She was pretty young for most of the movies..." I said. I couldnt helo but smirk. "Interesting..." I trailed off, knowing that wasnt what he meant.

Ashton:

I chuckled. “You know I was about her same age when the movies came out. You make it seem like I'm a creeper.” I was impressed that she was still carrying on the conversation.

Emily:
"I'm just sayin'..." I mumbled, closing my eyes again. I felt myself drifting off completely and if he said anything else, I didn't hear it. I fell asleep.

Ashton:

I watched the rest of the movie in silence. Once it had ended I made sure she was covered completely by the blanket by pulling it down over her toes and tucking it in. I cleared the dishes from the coffee table and set them quietly in the sink before leaving her to rest and retiring to my own room.
