University Roommates (Restart)

Ashton:

"Absolutely," I said with a half smile. "Pile it up." I held my cup out to her. I was just glad that she had come out of her room. I hadn't realised how hard it would hit her that Tasha was gone.

Emily:
I uncapped the cream and started squirting it into his mug. I kept going till the small pile was almost gonna tip over and then I smiled at him. "Enjoy," I said, turning to my own cup, to put a much more modest amount in it. His would probably make a mess, mine would just be delicious.

Ashton:

I balanced the cream on my cup until I brought it to my face. It then proceeded to smush around my mouth and go up my nose. "Ungh." I leaned over the sink to blow whipped cream from my nose and rinse my face.

Emily:
I let a little giggle escape before taking a sip of my hot chocolate. "Whats the matter? Cant handle a little whipped cream?" I asked, smirking.

Ashton:

"Apparently I have a low whipped cream tolerance," I said, smiling when she giggled. "You wanna do something tonight? We could go do something fun. A pick me up," I suggested after a minute.

Emily:
I smiled again and took another sip of my drink. "As long as it doesn't involve balls coming towards my face," I said after a moment. "I haven't fully recovered from the last time," I told him.

Ashton:

I snorted. "Well, we'll make sure it doesn't involve balls coming at your face," I said with a small grin.

Emily:
"Thats all I ask," I said with a grin. I set my mug down on the counter and wrapped my blanket more firmly around myself. "So what do you want to do then?" I asked.

Ashton:

"We could see a movie I guess. Maybe get a drink, assuming you don't over do yourself," I suggested. I wrapped both my hands around my mug, enjoying the warmth from the ceramic.

Emily:
"I only over did it one time, let it go," I said, rolling my eyes. "What time would you like to go?" I asked. "I just have to change clothes and then I can be ready whenever" I told him.

Ashton:

"I'll check movie times," I said and downed the last of my hot chocolate. I found a showing for seven that evening, so we lounged around the house a little longer before going out. I had changed into a slightly nicer t-shirt and pants before we left.

Emily:
I changed into a pair of jeans and one of my hoodies. I handed him him the keys, as I usually did when we went out because it was way more fun to be driven around. "What movie are we seeing?" I asked, buckling my seat belt.

Ashton:

"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children," I said as I started the car. "Seemed right up your ally." I smiled with a glance toward her before turning around to back the car up. Since my sister was out of the country she left me her car to drive for now. It would be nice to not have to ride my bike everywhere now.

Emily:
I smiled and shook my head. "Why? Do you think I'm peculiar?" I asked, settling into the seat. I should have brought candy from the cabinet but I had forgotten...

Ashton:

I laughed. "I think you are the very embodiment of peculiar," I said with another look her way. "You know, you're not going to be able to talk through this movie. And if you do you're gonna have to whisper," I told her. I hadn't thought about her habit of talking through any motion picture when I suggested going to see a movie.

Emily:
I smiled and looked out the window. "I'm not the one who talks. You are," I accused. There was approximately a zero percent chance of my staying quiet throughout this whole movie. But, he never really seemed annoyed like most people did. And he talked back so I wont take full responsibility.

Ashton:

I chuckled. "Oh, okay. Well, then we won't have any problems. I'm sure I can keep quiet during the movie." Once we arrived I got the tickets while I sent her to get popcorn. We settled into our seats a few minutes later. The theater was filled with mostly families.

Emily:
I set a large popcorn in between us on and reached in for a hand full. "You know, I really like Tim Burton," I said, settling into the seat.

Ashton:

"Is that so?" I lowered my voice to a near whisper in hopes that she would follow suit. I slouched down in the seat so I was level with her while the trailers played.

Emily:
I turned my head to look at him and smirked a little at his whisper and slouching. I brought my voice down a little because he moved closer but it was the trailers for goodness sake. "Yeah, he always has a bit of a creepy vibe to him..." I said.

Ashton:

I glanced at her. "You like creepy? What about horror?" I asked still watching her sideways. The last trailer played and the intro music came on. At least there were kids in the audience that would probably make more noise than her.

Emily:
I lowered my voice a little more and leaned a little closer since the movie was starting. "Well I dont like being scared. But a little creepiness never hurt anyone," I told him. "You like horror?" I asked.

Ashton:

"Supernatural only. I don't like lots of blood," I whispered turning my head toward her so the sound wouldn't carry. "Even then I can take it or leave." I shrugged.

Emily:
It was only when he turned his head that I realized how close we had gotten in an effort to keep quiet. "Either way, I mostly stick to Harry Potter..." I mumbled. He already knew this of course.

Ashton:

I chuckled softly. "Harry Potter isn't really creepy. Not the movies." I glanced at her. We had to be close to hear each other, but I couldn't say I minded. I tried to keep talking to a minimum during the movie, but she always had something to say.
