Beyond the Castle, part one. (Two person.)

Araline:

I held his gaze for a moment then sat up leaning back on one hand. I brushed bits of grass out of my long hair then watched the forest in behind us. “We could stay here for a while but we are going to need to find some water at some point.” I said softly, not looking a him.

Ario:

I watched her for several more moments, then getting to my feet I offered a hand down to her to help her up. "Well then, do you want to be the first one to step inside the forest?" I asked smiling slightly.

Araline:

I looked up at him and smiled before taking his hand and getting to my feet. “Yes I would.” I said taking several steps backward pulling his hand with me.

Ario:

I smiled at her, and let her pull me along to the forest. I kept my eyes on her, happy to just be with her.

Araline:

I let go of him after a little while and watched the area around us. The trees were gigantic and magnificence. I wanted to climb one so badly.

Ario:

I caught the longing in her eyes, only because I was still watching her. "You know, were free now, you can do anything you want." I said smiling.

Araline:

I flashed him a grin. “Maybe I will later.” I said.

Ario:

I smiled at her and walked in among the trees. I couldn't describe how I felt...I felt like myself finally.

Araline:

“I wonder if they have realized we are both gone by now.” I though out loud. I was unable to keep my thoughts from straying back to the castle.

Ario:

"Well, considering they probably broke down my door. I don't really care. No one would have come and check up on me, but by you vanishing they would come looking." I said shrugging.

Araline:

“I guess it does not matter now, they will never find us.” I said while looking up at him.

Ario:

I continued walking, my step adjusting to the softer ground of the forest itself. I felt peaceful, and so I dropped any emotional mask I had ever worn.

Araline:

I was still watching him, studying him while he wasn't looking at me. He seemed different than he always had been.

Ario:

I continued to walk and I heard a soft sound in the distance. I smiled when I recognized it as water.

Araline:

I got closer to him as we headed toward the sound of water. I felt the need to touch him in some way, I didn't know why, and slipped my hand casually into his again.

Ario:

I looked at her both surprised and curious. I looked down at our hands for a moment before smiling a bit and accepting it.

Araline:

We reached the water, a stream running rapidly. I hadn't though about the drinking water out of a stream that had sticks and leaves and algae in it. I made a face.

Ario:

"We'll be boiling the water first." I said catching her look. I smiled at her and gave her hand a squeeze.

Araline:

My expression became increasingly distressed. “Boil it in what?”

Ario:

I chuckled softly and tapped my pack. "I have a few things I thought we might need." I said smiling playfully at her.

Araline:

I sighed with relief, at least one of us was sensible. “You're an angel.” I said.

Ario:

I shook my head. "I'm not pure enough, but I am perfectly happy being your fallen angel." I said winking at her.

Araline:

I rolled my eyes. “Oh? What have you done that was so bad?” I asked letting go of his hand and going over to the stream.

Ario:

I smiled sadly. "A lot more than you would think. In case you forgot I'm a thief." My smile brightened. "I stole you for starters."

Araline:

“Or the other way around considering I was the one to drag you out here.” I told him.
