Perfect Assassins

"Aw, come on. You used to love learning to ice skate with me," Lexi whined quietly, feeling like she was twelve again. With the gaps in her memory, she might as well have been.

Krissy:

“Yeah but I was learning. I already know now so there is no need to try again.” I told her. “I don't see why you can't just go with Kyle.”

"Because it was always OUR thing. Kyle and I can practically do everything together but ice skating is just you and me." Lexi said, sounding hurt.

Krissy:

“Gahhh!” I covered my face with my hands and groaned. “Fine,” I said in defeat. “We can go whenever I heal.” Kyle tried to hide his laughter at this.

Lexi broke into a grin. "Great!" she exclaimed, grinning at Kyle too.

Kyle:

I grinned back at her shaking my head slightly. “That wasn't fair, you little cheater.” Krissy muttered.

"How was THAT not fair? Both of you refuse to fill in all the gaps in my memory," Lexi sulked, making a face at her in the rearview mirror.

Krissy:

“Hey! I was protecting you!” I said just as Kyle said, “I did, I told you whatever you asked.”

Lexi looked up at him, her eyes unbelieving. She knew he was lying, or just wasn't telling her the whole truth.

Kyle:

I glanced at her then back to the road with a shrug. I didn't want to argue with her.

Lexi sat quietly, leaning against the seat as they approached their Uncle's place.

Kyle:

After I stopped the car I got out to get Krissy picking her up easily. “Lexi, get the door please.” I said nodding to the front door.

Lexi hopped out and opened the door, holding it for Kyle so he could get through carrying the injured Krissy.

Kyle:


I took Krissy into the study and set her on the couch. “Stay here.” I told her. “I'm going to go get Aalen. Make sure she stays here. He is probably going to have to set her leg again before putting the cast on.” I told Lexi quietly so Krissy wouldn't hear.

Lexi nodded, sitting in front of Krissy. "Does it hurt?" she asked then winced. "God that was a stupid question..."

Krissy:

I smiled lightly at that. “Yeah it hurts like hell but not as bad as it was earlier before Will gave me the painkiller.” I told her pulling up my pant leg. Kyle had done a surprisingly good job at bandaging it.

Lexi turned a little paler but she kept her breakfast...dinner..meal down. "That's good."

Krissy:

“Lexi, it's fine. No need to look like that. You've seen me in worse condition.” I said with a smile.

Kyle:

“Hello?” I asked coldly.

Lexi nodded. "I know but I don't remember half of it, which doesn't help," Lexi replied.

give the phone to lexi or krissy. Or someone besides you"

Krissy:

I sighed. “Well you have. This isn't that bad comparatively. My leg has been broken before. Several bones have been broken before actually.” I said thinking about it.

Kyle:

“I'm not next to them at the moment. If you didn't want to talk to me you shouldn't have called.” I replied.
