A Personal War (closed)

i climbed on behind her "positive." i sighed "oh, and i'm NOT a soldier"

"Not anymore at least right?" I asked and looked over at him, calming myself down again.

i nodded "i never felt like a soldier"

"But you were one on the outside, and that's all he saw." he said and shook my head. "Tha's all he ever sees, the outer shell of someone."

"but he doesnt remember me"

"How could he? He was barely around when I was younger..." I sighed. "Maybe if I said your name he'd remember, I used to always talk about you.."

that shocked me slightly. i wrapped my arms around her alittle tighter "really? is that the truth?" i asked.

"Yes." I said and slowed my horse down. "The absolute truth..."

i smiled and squeezed her slightly "thank you"

"Your welcome." I smiled pecked his cheek. "Come on, I want to get as far away from here as the day will let me..."

i nodded "im ready when you are"

"I've been ready since we made out plans." I said and pulled away a little, starting my horse off on a canter."

i laughed "good"

I chuckled and kept riding my horse down the road. "How far is the next state over Nik?"

"it shouldn't be too far" i said in a soft tone

"Good." I sighed and kept at the same pace, thinking a little.

i sighed and watched the trees pass by, this was going to change everything.. and it depended all on my money being where i left it

I glanced at him and got a little worried. "Is everything alright?" I asked quietly.

"im just thinking... it's possible my bank put all it's money into supporting the war... if that's the case it might not have my money to give back

"Oh it can't... Then we'll really have nothing......." I shook my head getting nervous.

"it'll be there" i said calmly holding on to her

"I really hope so...." I sighed.

i nodded. inside i was thinking the same exact thing, life would get hard but not impossible without it

"I wish he didn't find me...." I said and glanced down, then back up at the trail.

"you sure about tht?" i asked after a moment
