Kai:

I smiled at her purr and gently massaged her back between her wings while I caught my breath.

I nuzzled his neck affectionately, as I continued to purr. "I missed you..." I whispered softly, the hand on his chest gripping his shirt a bit.

Kai:

“I’ve been here the whole time, you just didn’t see it.” I murmured, cupping the side of her face and kissing her jaw tenderly.

I smiled shyly as I looked up at him a blush coming to my face. I looked at him adoringly, waiting for him to make the next move.

I look at them both

I looked up at will, my eyes seeming to look right through him like he didn't exist. I picked up Demi and carried her outside where I held her and pointed to clouds in the sky naming shapes I saw in them.

I look at 26, "are you ok" i ask frowning a bit

Sara:

I sighed. “I am. I’m just really worried about them. I know they miss….” I trialed off not remembering how that statement was going to end. I frowned as my mind got a little fuzzy.

Demi leaned against Michael and looked up into the sky where he was pointing. He wings twitched a little.

Kai:

I put my hand on the side of her face. “I still want you to be my girlfriend… If you will.”

I didnt finish her sentance, knowing it would just confuse her more. I kiss her temple and walk out quietly

Michael:

I scratched between Demi's wings, my thoughts empty as I continued to point out clouds for her.

Kat:

I blushed deeply and nodded my face leaning into his hand automatically.

Demi made a soft whimper and turned her face into his shirt, her little ears laying flat. She was so scared of losing someone else, but it was quite clear Michael was slipping quickly.

Sara:

I sighed again as I went to my room and flopped down onto the bed. A soft ring came from underneath. I slid off the bed to the floor and reach under to grab a waded up pair of shorts. I pulled a blue phone from the pocket. “Hello?” I asked. I could only hear soft breathing on the other side. “Sara?” A hesitant voice asked. It sparked something in my mind but I couldn’t quite remember… “Yeah, who is this?” I asked. There was silence again. “Where is Michael?” She girl asked. My shoulders slumped. “I’m not sure he’s up to talking right now.” I said. “No? Why?” Je… She asked. “He’s sick or something, he won’t hardly do anything and it’s like he doesn’t see or hear anyone around him, except Demi sometimes.. She’s sick too though. Both of them aren’t doing so hot. I just wish..” I trailed off. It was like I knew her, whoever she was, like I was talking to my best friend. I frowned and sat on the bed but all she said was, “Demi is sick?” Her voice changed as she asked. “Yeah, I don’t know what’s wrong with her. Whatever it is doesn’t respond to Will’s healing fire… Why? Who are you?” I asked defensively. “No one, forget this Sara, just take care of them, please. I’ll.. Fix it.” She said then the call ended.

Kai:

I pulled away from Kat a little and sat up straight when I heard footsteps in the hall. I blinked when I saw my sister come into the room with such an odd expression. She turned to look at us. “What are you two doing?” She asked with a frown. “Nothing. What’s wrong with you?” I asked so she wouldn’t ask more questions.

Kat:

I blinked up at Sara. "Do I need to help with something?" I asked looking at her. Color flooded my cheeks, and I didn't know what I should do, but at the same time I didn't move away from Kai.

Sara:

I shook my head. “No… Do you get the feeling like something is wrong?” I asked. Kai gave a soft dull laugh. “Are you kidding? Yeah loads of things are wrong. It’s pretty clear if you ask me.” He said and leaned back into the couch. He was different… He seemed a little more bitter than he had before, and he was more blunt about it.

Will
i walk out to 26 and lace my fingers with hers, "whats wrong?"

Kat:

I frowned at Kai, not liking how mean he had been. There had been no call for it...

Sara:

“Everything.” I muttered with a glance at my little brother. I squeezed Will’s hand gently. “Come on, let’s…” I trained off and just lead him into the kitchen instead.

Kai:

I sighed and glanced at Kat. “What?” I asked seeing her frowning at me.

Kat:

I pulled out of his grasp. "That was unlike you..." I said shaking my head unhappily.

Kai:

“What? Being honest? I was just telling her the truth. She knows things are messed up. I’m not going to reassure her otherwise.” I told Kat, a little defensive.

I shook my head. "Doesn't mean you have to be so mean about it..." I said softly.

Kai:

“How else was I supposed to say it?” I asked looking at her sideways.

Kat:

I shrugged my shoulders slumping a bit. Something had changed about Kai...I missed the sweet boy that I had been so attached too...

Kai:

I sighed. “I’m sorry.” I said softly watching her face.

Kat:

I shrugged again, not wanting to make him feel bad. I really did miss the old him.

Kai:

I settled back and watched her with a slight frown trying to figure out what was going on in her mind.

I gave a soft cough, rubbing at my throat. I was starting to feel like I was coming down with something.
