"Are you okay?" I asked with a tilt of the head.

Ira:

“Well it’s been an interesting day. This wasn’t exactly what I thought would happen when I came here to see Jemma. I barely had time to say hi to her.” I explained.

"Do you have to go then? She should be out soon right?" I said looking towards the house.

Ira:

“Well she looked pretty upset when she left. I’m surprised the glass in the door didn’t break when she slammed it. That girl has always had a hot temper.” I said with a soft smile.

I laughed softly, "That much hasn't changed. She gets upset a lot...but she has a sweet side that she shows some times."

Ira:

“Yeah, she does. I remember picking a fight with a munch of boys way bigger than he when we were little, once she finished beating them up, she went and comforted the little girl they had been picking on. Her heart has always been in the right place, even if she sometimes overreacts.” I said smiling softly as I talked. “I’ve been looking for her for a while now. I thought everything would be better once I talked to her…” I looked down at my lap, the overwhelming sadness creeping back.

"Whats the matter? If you don't mind me asking." I said sitting crosslegged on the dirt.

Ira:

“It’s just I’ve done some horrible things… And it’s happened over and over… And because of it I’m alone now...” I said quietly.

"I know the feeling." I said holding up my hand where like smoke shadow rose and faded above my hand. "My power is the power to consume anything. I have consumed more than my fair share of people. Leaving nothing more of them alive."

Ira:

I blinked at him. “That’s what I do… Only… If I touch them they die… People keep thinking that I can overcome it… They risk everything… And it always ends the same way…. All of my closest friends…. Only Jemma and Adam are left now… But they were never ones to take stupid risks..” I said sadly.

I nodded then considered for a moment, "Well, hm. I wish you could meet Kage, he is a good person and is a lot smarter than me when it comes to control."

Ira:

“That’s how I feel about Jemma. She used to help me…” I said. “I’m hoping she still can. That I’m not too far gone…”

"No one is too far gone. Um, if it comes to it. I can contain you, bring you to Kage and leave you there. If you stay near him, you can survive and you wont have anyone there." I offered after a few moments.

Ira:

“What’s the point of surviving if you don’t have anyone?” I asked.

"What is the point of giving up if all hope is not lost?" I challenged back with a smile.

Ira:

“I’m not really giving up.. I mean, I’m here aren’t I? Seeking out someone for help. I’m sure Jemma will have ideas for what to do. She always fixes things.” I said.

I nodded, "Look at me. She fixed me...sort of. Yes they do Kayla. I mean I do have my issues still. But...she is the first person to care about me since my sister..."

Ira:

“I just wish I could get some time alone with her…” I said softly with a sigh.

"Oh...well I haven't gotten any alone time with her in a while...but you need her time more than I do. So when she gets free time next she is all yours okay?" I got to my feet and moved over to her.

Ira:

I smiled softly. I liked him. “Sounds like a plan.” I said as I got to my feet as well. I slipped on the dewy ground as I stood up.

Alex:

Instinct made me reach out, and catch her before she hit the ground. "Careful." I said with a chuckle, looking at her.

Ira:

I gasped and my eyes flew wide. I pushed back from him and stumbled to keep my balance, but it was too late, I had felt his skin brush my bare arm. Yet… I stared at him, eyes wide in alarm.

Alex:

I blinked and watched her. "Are you okay?" I asked confused by her actions. "Did I do something wrong?"

Ira:

“You touched me.” I said breathlessly.

Alex:

I blinked in confusion, before asking softly in apology. "Did I touch something I wasn't supposed to?"
