"them?" i looked at her worried "who is them?"

"These men! I stopped in front of a window to fix my hair and they swarmed, calling me names and trying too make advances! It was horrible!" I said trying not to cry.

i sighed and pulled the gun from my belt "go back to the room, i'll take care of this"

"No no no please put that away!" I yelled at him. "I don't want anything to happen! There's already been enough gun use around here there doesn't need to be any more!" I yelled some more, my fear coming across as anger towards him.

i stopped and looked at her "i'm not going to hurt anyone seriously, but if these men are harassing you i won't stand for it, a little fear and a little dignity never hurt anyone"

"Please let's just go." I said as they came around the corner laughing at me.
'Lititle lady's got a bodygaurd..." one chuckled and I. Stuck my tongue out in his direction. "She's still got a bit of fire in her." He laufhed and I. Shrank behind Nik again.

i growled lightly "leave her alone!" my demand only seemed to make them laugh. and if i'd been any regular person i wouldn't have noticed how they spread out as if to try and encircle us

"I said we should've just left!" I whined a little, biting my lip getting anxious. I hate men... I do...
"Just hand her over, we need to put her fire out before she gets hurt." The first said, he seemed like the leader of this stupid group.
"Touch me I'll have you arrested!" I snapped and he laughed so hard he was almost crying.
"You're talking to the sheriff right now..." he said and I saw the flash of his badge on his belt.
"Dammit." I said under my breath

i sighed and shook my head, "Well damn... no going back now." I lifted my gun and pointed it straight up, "Which one goes down first? the corrupt law? or the ass holes who follow him?"

"Nik I don't want that to be used!" I said frantically. "Please!"

i sighed "then run and find me something like a broom handel, just something useful"

"B-but I don't want to leave you..." I said. "They'll follow me!"

i grumbled "then stop complaining and look away, this'll be quick." getting impatient one of the sheriff's goons jumped at me. i stepped into his movement and thrust my palm into his throat dropping him to the ground choking. Flipping out the chamber i unloaded the gun before someone else could attack, "there, i won't shoot anyone, happy?"

I looked at him a little shocked. "You just- and- how did you do that?" I asked him in a but of awe. I knew I wouldn't have to fear for my safety now as long as he stayed with me. All the time.

i flipped the gun so i held it by the barrel and crouched slightly "just stay close, and might i ask... you don't try to help"

"Oh I won't." I said quickly. "This isn't my kind of thing."

i nodded and ducked as a fist flew at my face. Grabbing the attatched arm i pushed my shoulders up and flipped the mass of the attacker onto the ground, His own shoulder dislocated. I looked up at the sherif who looked a bit frustrated, "you should get better friends, these guys would never be good in any fight, They're too obvious"

I just stood there with my eyes closed, not wanting to know what he was even doing to them. "Just tell me when it's over!" I said and shook my head.

"Stay out of these parts kid. Or you and your girl won't be as lucky this time..." he spat and ran off, leaving his so called friends behind.

i barked out half of a laugh as i clubbed the last drunk in the temple with the butt of my gun.

I turned quietly and grabbed Abby's shoulder lightly "hey, come on, it's over. We'll go back to the room and head out tomorrow ok?"

"I'm not leaving that room again..." I said and held onto him tightly. "I never knew men could be that cruel.. Men that aren't my father at least."

i sighed "That wasn't cruel" i glanced at her sadly "that was sick, and deprived"

"Well I don;t care what it was I'm just glad I could run away from them even in these clothes..." I said and glanced back at where we were just standing.

i nodded "me too"

I held onto him tighter, not wanting to let go. "I'm sorry Nik..."

i shook my head, not looking at her but rather watching for any other attackers. "don't be" i said calmly
