Perfect Assassins

Color entered my cheeks and I shook my head. I fingered the clothes I was wearing before pointing to them then to Krissy's retreating back. I only owned the shirt, shorts, panties, and sports bra I had come in with.

Eric:

“Well what’s say we go shopping?” I suggested a grin slowly coming to my lips.

I blinked before nodding slowly, feeling shy. I felt bad, I didn't like people spending money on me, not when it could be put to better uses for other people. I was weak though, and all of them were stronger than me. And so I hated being useless to them more.

Eric:

“I smirked and lifted her chin up. “Don’t look so glum darlin’” I said in amusement, still holding her chin.

I felt my cheeks heat up as he held my chin. In my head I was repeating over and over "What do I do, what do I do, what do I do, what do I do..."

what happened to Lexi...?)

((She’s been going through stuff. She’s fine though. I talked to her the other day. She might come back on sometime.))

Eric:

I put my hand flat on her back. “Well? Shall we go?” I asked turning her in the direction of the garage.

I nervously swallowed at his hand, letting him lead.

Eric:

I lead her to the garage and selected a sporty black car. I slid into the driver’s seat and adjusted it a little before flipping on the radio to a country station.

I slid into the passenger seat slowly, tucking my hands under my legs as I waited for something to happen.

Eric:

I texted Krissy a quick message about what we were doing and when we’d meet back up. Before pulling out of the garage and speeding down the dirt road.

Krissy:

I knocked on Kyle and Lexi’s door softly then banged when I didn’t hear a response. Kyle opened the door with his hair all sticking up and looking sleepy. “Did you just wake up? It’s noon. Anyways we want to take you out, cause you kinda just ran off without telling anyone… But you still need to have a party. So we’re going to take you out. Eric says he knows a place a couple hours away so it’s not too close to the house.” I explained. I tried to look around him. “Lexi wake up! We’re going out!” I called to her since Kyle didn’t seem to be comprehending what I was saying, at least he still had sleepy eyes and wasn’t talking.

Eric:

I continued to sit on my hands, not sure what it was I should do. I hummed along to the music but beyond that I didn't do anything.

Lexi groaned, rolling out of bed and stumbling over to the door. "What about a party...?" she mumbled, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

Eric:

Ebony and I had gotten to the place a couple hours before everyone else. She now had a pair of cowboy boots and several sets of clothes. I had helped her with picking most of it out. She had a light pink dress that was longer in back. She looked country in it, which was fitting because the place I had chosen was a country-western restaurant/bar with a dance floor. I knew Kyle would like it, and Krissy probably would. I didn’t care about the others.

Krissy:

I was surprised by the place Eric had chosen. I knew he was thinking about home when he did it. He and Kyle had always been more country than I had. Kyle hung onto it a bit, I had let nearly everything go from back home. Kyle sometimes still had the accent when he was really sleepy. I looked up to see my brother grinning as we walked in to the place. It was cute. I turned and smiled at Michael, pulling him along by the hand.

Ebony:

I had a perpetual red tint to my cheeks ever since Eric had bought the dress for me. I was still confused about the entire mess, having no idea what I was supposed to do or say. So I just sat in one of the chairs in the room Eric had reserved. I fiddled with the edge of my dress, Eric's hat sitting on my head. It didn't fit of course, but I had drawn quite a few looks from the occupants of the place.

Eric:

My eyes had been on Ebony the entire night, she was hot in the new outfit. I had a soft spot for girls in cowboy boots. But she was so shy… And then I saw Krissy coming into the room. I looked past everyone else to her. Her hair was down and wavy, she had on a green top that echoed the green in her eyes. She was radiant, and she smiled at me when she saw me. I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

Krissy:

I smiled and half waved when I saw Eric. I lead Michael, Kyle, and Lexi over to them. I was slightly jealous when I saw Ebony. She was stunning in the perfect country outfit complete with hat and boots. I couldn’t help but feel out of place next to her. I went over to hug her. “You doing okay?” I asked, tipping her hat back to see her face.

James
I tagged along in one of the cars heading to this party. I thought the location was an odd choice but i liked it well enough. I smiled a little bit watching the others. I hung back a little and look around, paranoid as I usually am.

Ebony:

I blinked a little and looked up at Krissy when she tipped back my hat. I smiled shyly at her, feeling weird in the clothes. The price alone for everything Eric had bought for me had left me speechless, even if I couldn't talk. He went so far as to get me sized and get me a few sets of matching bra's and panties, though he hadn't let me see most of them. I had been forced to wear a blindfold while two ladies had dressed me in the store he had taken me too for the dress I was wearing. After that had been a trip to the salon where my nails and hair had been groomed and touched up to make them perfect. When the blindfold had finally been removed I had been speechless and was blushing heavily.

As I had stared into the mirror Eric himself had stepped up behind me, pulling me back against his chest with his arms loosely around my waist. A happy shiver had gone through me, when he leaned down and whispered that the outfit was missing something. That was when he had taken off his hat and put it on my head. He hadn't touched me or really said a whole lot to me since, but I was still slightly shaken by it. Realizing I had zoned out the red color that had been practically glued onto my face deepened slightly, and I glanced towards Eric. I couldn't keep my disappointment from showing when I saw that he wasn't even looking at me at all. I could tell from his body language and eyes that right now, he only had eyes for Krissy, everyone else didn't matter.

I waved Krissy off to Michael before leaving the seat to go stand by the wall, my hands clasped behind me. I felt more out of place than ever. They had all grown up together or were dating, I was the odd link. I had hit my head recently it seemed and anything beyond four or five days ago I couldn't remember. I had no connection to any of them though they welcomed me for what ever reason. I sighed softly, pushing away the feelings of jealousy as I watched them, wishing I could be that happy. Or even just being as beautiful and breathtaking as Lexi and Kayla were. Though I had only caught a glimpse of Lexi.

Krissy:

I glanced at Eric and caught him watching me. I shook my head and followed after Ebony. Leaning against the wall next to Ebony, I pulled something out of my bag and handed it to her. It was a note pad with a pretty embroidered butterfly on the front. It had a pocket in back for pencils. “I thought of you when I found this, thought you might like it since you’ve lost your voice.” I said quietly. “You look really pretty, Ebony, almost makes me wish I was wearing a dress.” I said with a sweet smile.

Lexi smiled at Ebony but was whisked away with Kyle to go dance and be merry.

It was odd....amazing but odd. It had been a long time since they'd been shot at, someone had gone missing again, and everyone was in good health save for Ebony's memory loss. It was strange yet exciting that she was finally able to enjoy her time with Kyle rather than worrying if everyone was alive and safe or if they would have to move the next morning or what....

But she knew it couldn't last. Just hours ago, when she had been getting ready, she had received a text from an untraceable number. Someone wanted her back on the field. Someone wanted Rose killing again.

And Rose wanted it....

It wasn't as though they were lacking money, they had plenty of that... Lexi was more worried about Rose and her bloodlust. Maybe if she let Rose have her fun every once in a while...she would stop trying to control all of Lexi and more or less leave her alone.

And the extra money was never anything to complain about....

And it would keep her skills up in case their happiness ended.

But there were so many risks...

Lexi thought all of this as she danced with Kyle, a happy smile on her face that wavered every now and then when she thought too hard about it.

Enough... Lexi thought. I want to enjoy this.

Kyle:

I held her body against mine as we danced. “You’re distracted baby.” I murmured into her hair after a while. She had been fairly quiet all while we had been coming here. I hadn’t brought it up before, hopping that she would eventually say what was bothering her. But she had just kept smiling like nothing wrong.

Ebony:

I took the pad in surprise, guilt crossing my face. They all were so nice, and were giving me stuff and I knew I could never repay them or do any of that stuff back. Krissy really was perfect it seemed to me. I opened it and took the one pencil she had included with the notepad. "I'm jealous..." I wrote after a moment.

Krissy:

I blinked in surprise when I read it. “Jealous? Whatever for?” I asked looking back to her face.
