Perfect Assassins

"Some not all." I said, reaching into the bag and pulling out a black case, and slipping it into my pocket. I took the knife from her injured hand, transffering it to her non injured one and quickly bandaged up her hurt hand. "Your worrying him you know." I said softly to Krissy, glancing up at her.

Michael:

"I wont let that happen." I said simply, looking at him.

Eric:

I gave a short, mirthless laugh. “I doubt you can stop it. It won’t happen right away. Kyle will die and she’ll probably go on for a little longer, but sooner or later she’ll get herself killed. She has a death wish and you know it. Kyle somehow keeps her in check, but I’m sure you’ve seen the scars more than I have. She isn’t careful with her life. And once he’s gone, she has no chance.”

Michael:

I closed my eyes and stood there. "Why are you doing this Eric?" I asked softly. "There is no need. I know how bad this is, I know what might happen."

Krissy:

I looked down at my hand and pressed my lips together. I knew I was, and yet I couldn’t do anything about it. I was so racked with worry myself that I could barely think straight.

Eric:

“Just making sure you know. I’ve known Krissy for ages, I know how her mind works.” I said with a shrug.

Jack:

"Krissy, do you trust me and Michael?" I asked, taking her bandaged hand in both of mine. "Or just one of us?" I whispered softly to her.

Michael:

"And I perhaps know more of her heart than you." I said softly to him before walking into the room and closing the door behind me.

Krissy:

I stared at him for a moment before nodding slightly. “I trust Michael.” I said softly. It wasn’t that I didn’t trust Jack, I just knew he could be a little unpredictable.

Michael:

I walked over and rested a hand on Jack's shoulder. He got up and pulled the black case out, slipping it into my hand and moving on to stand by the door, his posture and expression, entirely giving the idea that he was there as a guard. I glanced at the already shut windows and curtains. I knelt down in front of Krissy, tracing her cheek with my finger tips. "Hey beautiful." I whispered.

Krissy:

I searched his eyes. “What are you going to do?” I asked him before glancing back to Jack. My mind wasn’t working it’s best, it wasn’t sharp. I couldn’t guess why Jack had asked me what he had. What were they going to do to me? Where they going to take me away from Kyle? My pulse picked up.

Michael:

"Do you trust me Krissy?" I asked her softly. "Have you done everything you know you can do for Kyle?" I said, staring into her eyes.

Krissy:

I blinked at him slowly. My eyes hurt and seemed like they were forever watery. I took in a deep breath and let it out in a frustrated sigh. “Yes.” I whispered.

Michael:

"I have been talking to Jack...we have something that might work to help him. But, you really have to trust us. Jack has done something he never wanted to do again in the effort to help Kyle and make you happy again." I said, showing her the black case. "I didn't know how much time he might have left, so I called him back when we got it down this far." I searched her eyes and asked softly. "Is your brother strong?" I asked softly.

Krissy:

I looked at him uncertainly. “He was.” I whispered looking back to Michael. “What are you going to do?” I asked again.

Michael:

"The last thing I can." I said opening the case to pull out the special epi-pen. "Do you remember before, when you told me that you would rather tear out your own heart than hurt me?"

Krissy:

I dropped my gaze to my lap and nodded slowly. “Michael..” I said miserably, at a loss for what to say.

Michael:

I lifted her chin to look at her. "Hush, I have been only worried." I shook my head slowly, my eyes never leaving hers. "I wanted you to know that I feel the exact same way." My hand moved in a flash, sinking the epi-pen into Kyles leg. It was a much, much, much lower concentration of what Michael, Jack, and Ebony had taken. It was down to a level three times stronger than adrenaline, and packed full of nutrients, and vitamins.

((What exactly is going to happen to Kyle? So I know how to play this? How quickly will it work?))

Krissy:

I jumped slightly and gave a little gasp when he stabbed something into Kyle’s leg. “Michael? What was that? What did you just do?” I asked a little franticly. I grabbed his hand and opened it. My lips parted when I saw the pen, I recognized it of course. I looked up at Michael with shock in my eyes.

Michael:

"I'm sorry..." I whispered, looking down. I know how she hated it, but there was no helping it. It was for the best, I hoped at least. I watched Kyle, noting how his breathing quickened and a groan escaped his lips. My hands moved to hold Krissy in place, preventing her from getting up to see or check on her brother. I counted to five silently, wincing as I heard Kyle give a small, tight bellow of pain. "Come on Kyle..." I whispered. I watched his chest heave as he arched his back off the bed. It looked as if every muscle in his body was straining. I closed my eyes as he let out a sigh, a long one, one that when you hear, sounds like a sigh of death. My eyes snapped open and I stared at his chest, several seconds passed before his chest rose suddenly, and I watched, relief flooding through me as his breathing deepened to that of someone merely sleeping. I let Krissy go slowly, Jack having already crossed the room to press his ear to Kyles chest and to peel away the bandages on his wound. He looked at me and gave a tired smile, before swaying a bit and leaning back against the wall, sliding down to a siting position. "Kyle's going to be okay." He said softly, before closing his eyes tiredly.

Krissy:

I moved up close to Kyle’s face, touching his neck to take him pulse. I could barely see from tears in my eyes. A hand moved to take mine from Kyle’s neck. My heart stopped when I realized it was actually his. My brother blinked up at me. “Krissy?” He said, squinting with one eye. He sat up on one elbow with a wince. I hugged him, unable to control the historical sobs now. I had thought I’d never hear his voice again and now here he was saying my name.

Kyle:

I blinked again letting my eyes focus. I felt bazar. I hugged Krissy close. I was used to sobbing girls but this somehow seemed a bit more urgent. I glanced around the room while rubbing her back, my gaze finally settled on Michael.

Michael:

I gave him a tight, tired smile, putting the epi-pen I had hit him with back into the case. "You scared her." I said softly. "Scared all of us actually. But I need to talk to you later alright? Clear some things and check on things."

Kyle:

I gave him a nod before realizing that Krissy was actually saying words instead of just flat out sobbing. She was trying to explain what happened to me, and I could only understand about half of it.

Michael:

"To make it easy, and to understand the sobbing beautiful girl on you. You were stabbed at the resteraunt. It was poisoned. She hardly ever left your side, and wouldn't let anyone really help you. She nearly drained herself of blood to keep you going." I told him softly, getting to my feet.

Krissy:

I peaked at Michael to give him a dirty look. I had deliberately left out the parts that made me look bad, giving him a more general over view. “Krissy.” Kyle said disapprovingly. I pressed my face into his shoulder and hiccupped.

Michael:

I winced at her dirty look, my mind flashing back to the words I had said before injecting Kyle. I moved around the bed to wrap an arm under Jack's, to support him as I helped get him to his feet. "I'll leave you too alone. You have a few minutes before I tell Lexi that your alive okay? Might want to get as comfy as possible before she tackles you."
