Perfect Assassins

Krissy:

I calmed down after a little while with him. It was like I could actually breathe again. My family was going to be okay, and while I had done damage, it was nothing I couldn’t fix now. After Lexi came in I left them alone. Going to find Michael and Jack. I could start with them.

Michael:

I took Jack to a spare room where he offered me ties and straps. I looked at them before sighing softly. He took one look at me and said softly. "They are my friends, they are worth the price." I nodded once, drawing him into a hug before having him lay down. I strapped him into the bed, pulling out a syringe full of heavy sleeping drugs he had also given me. I injected a little into him before sitting beside the bed, watching him.

Krissy:

I checked a few rooms before finding one I heard Michael’s voice in. I knocked softly. “Michael?” I asked, pressed against the door.

Michael:

"Yeah, hold on a sec." I said getting up and letting out a soft breath. "Sleep well mate." I said softly to Jack before going and opening the door.

Krissy:

I smiled faintly and tilted my head just standing there. I watched his face. I didn’t know if he was mad at me, or worried still, or even if he wanted to be around me at all. I hadn’t been nervous around him like this in a long time.

I gently moved her away from me so I could close the door and step out into the hallway. "Is Kyle okay?" I asked her, looking at her with worry in my eyes.

Krissy:

I nodded looking down at the floor for a moment before looking into his eyes. “Are we?” I asked trying to ignore the pain in my heart.

Michael:

"You scared me..." I admitted softly, before drawing her into a fierce hug.

Krissy:

I hugged him tightly. “I’m so sorry.” I mumbled into his shirt. “If it’s any consolation,” I said softly as I looked up at him. “ I scared myself too.”

Michael:

"It doesn't, but I will take it." I whispered before drawing her lips to mine.

Krissy:

I kissed him back for a moment before pulling away a little. “Thank you, for what you did for Kyle. I’m not happy with how it happened.. what was used.. But it probably saved his life.” I said softly, putting my hand on his cheek.

"You have to thank Jack more than me." I admitted, looking towards the door behind me. "It was his idea and plan. I just told him where to get some." I said softly.

Krissy:

I nodded. “I will… But can we go to bed now?” I asked softly. “All I’ve done was just sit there uselessly. But I’m exhausted. And I just want to be with you..”

Michael:

"Of course baby." I said softly, taking her hand in mine and leading her towards the room we had claimed.

Krissy:

Once we were in our room I got a shirt of his and went into the bathroom to change, wash my face, and brush my teeth. I looked at myself in the mirror after I was done. I looked awful; pale, sleep deprived, puffy and red eyed. I sighed and went back into the room, crawling onto the bed.

I was waiting for her, having stripped out of my shirt and pants. I sat cross legged on the bed, my arms moving out to pull her into a hug on my lap when she crawled onto the bed.

Krissy:

I curled up against him and wound my arms around him. “At least it’s over now..” I said softly.

Michael:

I nodded slowly, kissing her cheek. "Yeah, though I will need to talk to your brother soon." I told her stroking her back slowly.

Krissy:

“What about?” I asked quickly, slightly alarmed.

Michael:

"What I injected him with." I said softly, looking at her face to gauge her reaction.

Krissy:

I dropped my gaze and frowned slightly. “What is it going to do to him?” I asked quietly, not looking at his face.

Michael:

"I don't know. I am going to ask questions simply and do what is necessary. I have what I need in case things don't go as I want." I said evasively.

Krissy:

I was concerned for my brother of course, and what the side effects of the soldier syrum might be, but I knew that it was a necessary one-time thing for him, and that it saved him. “Michael?” I asked softly, looking up at him again.

"Yes?" I asked back just as softly, my hand never stopping the rubbing of her back, nor did my eyes ever leave her head.

Krissy:

“Have you been using it?” I asked calmly, trying to keep my face passive.
