Perfect Assassins

Michael:

I didn't say anything, beyond focusing on driving. I pushed the car to its limits, my teeth gritted the entire time as I felt like fire was going through my veins. At the same time, I was bothered by the actions of Krissy. She didn't trust me, not only that she wasn't on the phone anymore. Was she not going to listen to anything I was going to say?

Krissy:

I put my forehead on Kyle’s shoulder, holding his hand in both of mine. I was trying to calm myself from the blind panic. I sniffled softly trying to stop or at least lessen the crying, but it was uncontrollable. I couldn’t help but imagine what I would do without him, a thought that had seldom crossed my mind.

I stayed back with Eric and the girls, shocked by what happenned. "Eric what the hell happenned?" I ask looking over at him. "How did he get hurt, any idea at all?" I ask thinking hard. I was watching everyone at the restaurant and I didn't see him get attacked or anything. Or maybe I just didn't notice it. Damn.

Eric:

“I don’t know. Whenever it happened he was with Krissy. She was scratched by the blade too. Poison of some kind I’m sure.” I said with a shrug. I turned to the other car. Lexi I had assumed had stayed with Ebony to keep her calm. “Let’s not tell the girls about that part quite yet.” I said as I moved to the driver’s door.

That would probably be smart" I say sighing and walking to the car as well

Michael:

I didn't say anything or even look at Krissy as I drove, not worrying about my speed or the other cars.

Krissy:

I was mentally going over everything that I could do for Kyle. What he would need. What his chances were of actually making it… And if he did, what would be the damage? Would he even wake up? I made a soft pained sound, keeping my head on his shoulder.

Michael:

I glanced over for a moment to Krissy, hearing her sound. I winced at it before facing forward again. There was nothing I could do to help her. She had refused my help, and had abandoned my phone somewhere with no way to get a hold of Jack for a full set of medical supplies and surgery equipment.

Krissy:

It had been a long drive to the restaurant, we were barely a third of the way there when we crashed.. Even with Michael pushing the speed of the car, it was taking so long. Could Kyle wait until we got to the house?

Michael:

I pushed the car harder, knowing that this might be the last time the car runs for a while.

Krissy:

I leaned over and parted Kyle’s shirt, prying the bandage open a bit to check the wound. It was no longer black at the edges, but the skin around it was bright red. What kind of poison did that? Without knowing it was difficult to come up with an anecdote… and that left few other options.. I took in a deep breath and wiped the tears from my face before pulling my bag into my lap. I dug in it for a minute. I had needles, but would that do it quick enough? I looked down at my knife, still stained with his blood. I took Kyle’s hand in my lap, before glancing out the window. We couldn’t be that far away now, not at the speed we were going… I placed the tip of my knife on Kyle’s wrist and held my breath and I put pressure on it. The blood started flowing from the triangle mark. My eyes shot to his face to see if that had brought him around. Still stone cold unconscious. I wrapped his wrist loosely with gauze, not to inhibit the flow, but to keep it from getting everywhere.

Michael:

I kept Krissy in view through the corner of my eyes, mostly through the rearview mirror. I was still bothered, but I decided then, that I wouldn't bring it up. No matter how much she pressed.

Krissy:

I watched the cloth gradually become saturated with blood, it soaked through to my jeans as well and the hem of my top. I sighed quietly in relief when we turned onto the last road to get to the house.

When I reached the house I slid to a stop, climbing out of the car and going over to open the door to the back, fully intending to pick Kyle up again.

Krissy:

I got out of the car and hurried inside, knowing Michael would get Kyle in. I went in to set up. I went to the medical supplies we had and collected everything I could use.

I picked Kyle up and carried him inside through the open door. I followed the sounds of preparing, assuming that it was the right direction to go towards.

Krissy:

I set up in a small room on the ground floor. One of the few that was meant to be a bedroom. I sat down and took a moment to insert the needle into my arm, my own blood flowing steadily into a bag. I was the only one in the house who matched Kyl’s blood type. I had done tests on all the others at one point or another. Kyle and I were the only ones with O negative.

I walked in, and laid Kyle down gently, standing up and glancing over the supplies she had gathered before turning and heading out. She didn't need my help, she had already refused it after all.

Krissy:

My eyes flicked to Michael as he left, my heard tugged slightly at that but I had more pressing matters to deal with. I thatched various tubes to Kyle to transfer my blood to him and to drain his own. I cleansed his wound once I was done then settled back, all I could do for now was wait.

Eric:

Even speeding all the way back I had lost the other car. Eventually I pulled up next to the other car at the house. I hurried inside.

Michael:

I gestured to the room to Eric. "They are in there." I said simply before heading downstairs to the gun range.

Eric:

I went into the room Michael had indicated. It seemed unusually quiet as I walked up. I expected sobs, or the sounds of surgery, or possibly yelling. Not silence. I pushed the door open. Krissy was sitting in a chair next to her motionless brother. Her head was leaned back and her whole body was limp. I walked over to her quietly. She still didn’t move. I touched the scratch on her neck gently and she gasped jerking upright. “What are you doing?” I asked, looking her over. I noted the tube in her arm. “Giving blood. It’s all I can do. He needs untainted blood.” She answered. I offered to give some but she told me I wasn’t the same blood type. I sighed and pulled up a chair next to her. Lexi came in then and went to Kyle immediately.

I walk in and sit down nxt to Krissy quietly. "Any update that you know of? How did he get like this?"

Krissy:

I watched Kyle miserably. “We were dancing and this girl came up and slashed him. He didn’t want me going after her, he didn’t want to make a big. The blade was kind of crusty, it didn’t make a clean cut. It must have had something on it, that’s why she didn’t stab him.” I explained tiredly.

Michael:

I set down a pair of pistols as well as three clips each in front of me at the range. I let out a soft breath, my eyes closed before they snapped open and I sprung into action. In seconds a clip was expended and another was being slammed into place.

I'm not usually the one to initiate an attack. But someone will die for this" I say coldly. I've never seen Kyle in this kind of shape, and it won't go uncombatted.
