Perfect Assassins

Krissy:

I sat up and tried to get to my feet but doubled over with a sharp cry of pain.

I dropped the trays moving slowly towards the sound. I knew that sound, and it was a sound that always chilled me to the core.

Krissy:

I looked up and let out a soft relieved sigh. I held my hand out to him, the other one putting pressure on my belly. “Michael.” I breathed.

I knelt down taking her hand in mine carefully before drawing her close to my chest. I couldn't stop my self from crying into her shoulder.

Krissy:

The pain was almost numbed the minute his arms were around me. It wasn’t that it was gone, it just didn’t matter as much. I put one arm around him and ran my fingers through his hair with my other hand. I was still incredibly weak, there wasn’t much strength in my touch. I kissed his face close to his ear since it was all I could reach and mumbled his name several times mixed in with reassurances.

Once the tears stopped I wordlessly picked her up carefully, taking her back to her room.

Krissy:

I pressed my face into his neck as he carried me and breathed in his scent. Being in his arms made me feel safe, nothing and no one could hurt me. I was exhausted and I felt it suddenly when I wasn’t under the stress of trying to escape. I fell asleep against him.

I laid down on the bed, holding her close to me. I took the IV and reinserted it into her arm while she was sleeping.

Kyle:

I got back to her room after talking to security about Krissy being missing. I let out a relieved sigh when I saw her in bed with Michael next to her. “She’s back.” I said softly, going over and touching her cheek softly. “What happened?” I asked him.

"I found her in a room a few doors down...she was awake when I found her...she fell asleep on the way back." I said softly, tracing Krissy's facial features.

Kyle:

“God, then she woke up alone. And panicked.” I sunk down in a chair beside the bed. “I should have stayed by the door.” I muttered to myself.

michael:

"Neither of us could have known. At least she woke up...that's a good sign." I said to him, it was an effort to try and cheer him up.

Kyle:

“Yeah.” I said dully. “My uncle is coming to see her.” I said with a sigh.

Michael:

"Is that good or bad?" I asked stroking Krissy's sleeping face gently.

Kyle:

“It’s not good. I don’t know if it’s quite bad for us yet though.” I said dully. “He only makes trips like this when he want’s something. If he was just checking in on her he would have sent Aalan.”

"What could he want?" I asked tiredly.

Kyle:

“Something involving her.” I nodded to Krissy. “But I suppose we’ll find out.” I said, I didn’t have a good feeling about it.

Krissy:

I listened to the sound of my two favorite voices without really hearing the words they were saying. I was only barely conscious, and I was lulled by the hand gently touching my face. I rolled onto the warmth next to me.

Michael:

I gave a soft oof when I felt Krissy roll into me, but I didn't protest. Instead I drew her closer and hummed a lullaby into her ear.

Kyle:

I watched the two of them for a moment. It was a huge relief to see Krissy move on her own. I felf like I could finaly breathe again. And Michael was very gentle with her. “I’m going to go find a deserted bed to crash in.” I said as I stood up. I hadn’t really slept at all since she had been injured, now I was suddenly exhausted.

Krissy:

I nestled my face against his neck and gave a soft sigh of contentment.

Michael:

I watched Kyle leave, glad he was going to get some rest. I myself would continue to stay awake like I had since the day she had gotten stabbed.

Krissy:

I drifted off again but a little while later I woke up. “Michael?” I asked softly, breathing in his scent happily.

"I'm here darling." I whispered in her ear. I planted a kiss on her ear as her face was in my chest.

Krissy:

I turned my face a little to peak at him. “Where are your dog tags?” I asked, realizing they weren’t around my neck. “And the ring?”

I smiled softly, I dug into my pocket and pulled out my dog tags, slipping them around her neck before taking her left hand in both of mine. I slid the ring I had gotten for her onto her ring finger whispering softly as I did so, "Will you be my wife Krissy?"

Krissy:

I smiled softly, looking up into hit eyes and nodding.
