Velar:

“I don’t think so.” I said flatly unmoving from my spot.

I shrugged absently. "No reason to stay then." I said before bowing to him. "Thank you. For taking time to talk."

Velaric:

I ignored her attempt to part ways. “You don’t know much about vampires do you, sweetheart?” I asked

"No, but my teacher always said that you can learn a lot by fighting someone." I said with a nod.

Velaric:

“Well, let me give you a heads up before you go trying to fight any other vampires, who would love to by the way. It’s exciting when pray fights back. For most vampires a fight usually ends in death, either of the opponent or the vampire. They don’t give up you see, they don’t get tired. Even if a fight were to last long enough to tire a vampire, it would only make them more hungry and fixated on getting what they want, which is blood always.” I explained. “Now, I’m not exactly like others of my kind, but that is because I stop before I get myself into a situation that would spark my natural instincts.” I stepped up to her and put my hand under her chin gently. “I’m sure you are an excellent fighter, but you can’t win against a vampire unless you’re willing to kill it . You will never be anything but pray to a vampire, don’t forget that.” I dropped my hand and turned my back on her to swing the door of my car open.

((Prey* ))

I tilted my head thinking about it before my leg snapped out on its own, pausing just to the right of his head. My foot was surrounded by flame, though the fire did not burn him. "Can't touch if I don't want it to happen." I said simply.

Velaric:

I laughed and slid into my car. “I’m not fighting you. Not now.” I told her again before closing the door. I started the car and backed up around her. I rolled the window down and looked her over once more. “You know, it’s a shame that’s all you want. You’re really rather cute.”

I tilted my head. "What is all I want?" I asked then paused. "And what does cute mean? I have been called it before."

Velaric:

“The way you look sweetheart.” I told her. “And the only thing you want is to fight, isn’t it?”

"I want to learn. I was told fighting is the best way to learn, but you have to fight for a purpose. A sparring match is best, killing is undesirable." I paused before asking uncertainly. "Is there other ways to learn?"

Velaric:

I grinned slowly, only slightly showing my fangs. “If you want to learn, I’d suggest getting in the car.” I unlocked the doors.

"I have never been in a car." I admitted, before climbing in slowly.

Velaric:

I chuckled and hit the gas, speeding out of the parking lot and onto the deserted road. I glanced at her, noting that she hadn’t put on her seatbelt. I leaned over her to buckle it.

My hand immediately reached out to grab his arm, gripping it tightly, in a position to break it if he was human, or not a vampire.

Velaric:

“Chill.” I told her shaking her off of my arm easily.

"Habit." I said simply, looking out the windows, feeling slightly apprehensive and a little sick to be riding inside the car.

Velaric:

I pulled up in front of the apartments Tabitha lived in. I hadn’t seen them on the sidewalk, so I assumed they were back in her place.

I blinked and looked at the building. "This seems boring..." I said, looking at him.

Velaric:

“We wont be here for long, because he wont stay here for long. They are both much to shy for that.” I said knowingly watching the stairs.

I sighed softly. "And then what? We go sit outside his room for the night?"

Velaric:

I was silent for a moment while I watched before I replied, “Or we could go back to mine.” I said softly with a glance at her. I still couldn’t judge how young she was.

"What is there?" I asked with another tilt of my head.

Velaric:

I looked at her then chuckled under my breath shaking my head a little. “Did you grow up on a little farm somewhere out in the middle of nowhere?” I asked.

"Tibet, the top of a mountain, in a monastery." I said. I paused and thought about it for a moment. "There was a farm down at the bottom though."

Velaric:

“Huh. Well that is new.” I commented. “So are you some kind of priestess, or nun, or what?” I asked.
