Naveen

Rina:

It was getting late in the day and we were nearly to the river Talon had mentioned. The horses were getting tired, I wondered if we’d even make it to the river in time. My eyes watched the road lazily. I blinked when I spotted a couple of riders coming this way. I sat up straighter scanning the area for somewhere to hide the horses and ourselves. Nothing but tall grass and a few trees.

Talon:

I slid the sword back into its place at my side before moving along the river, rubbing my shoulder absently. This had been painful, I had a stab wound to my right shoulder.

Rina:

I decided to stay on the road, there was a fair chance that they wouldn’t take note of us. As we got closer it became apparent that they were soldiers. I kept my hand on my sword. They past us with a nod.

Wren:

I started to doze, lulled to sleep by the horses movements, and the warmth of Maleen.

Rina:

I kept looking behind us to make sure they weren’t following. We finally reached the river close to dusk. I slid off the horse and let him go to graze.

Talon:

"Your slow." I called, walking up from behind a tree. I was still holding my shoulder, though it had stopped bleeding finally.

Rina:

My hand went to my swart immediately but when I saw it was Talon I relaxed. “I didn’t expect to see you again.” I said honestly.

"Well, I made a promise didn't I?" I remarked, as I paused in front of her.

Rina:

“Well I didn’t know you’d keep it. I’ve only known you for a day.” I said as my eyes trialed over him. “Got into a little spat did we?” I asked, eyeing his shoulder.

Talon:

"I took care of the soldiers behind us." I said simply. I shrugged my shoulders a bit, ignoring the pain that it brought through my shoulder.

Rina:

“Don’t you think that would draw attention? You couldn’t just let them go? Now they’re going to be looking for someone who killed them..” I said in slight annoyance.

"Could be, but they died in the midst of the goblins I killed. It will be fine." I remarked giving another shrug.

Rina:

“If you get us caught, I won’t be happy at all.” I warned. Even if he was a skilled fighter, no one could really survive Aero stabbing into their back and boiling their blood.

"If I get all of you caught, I will fight to let you run, and draw them away." I said with a slight smile.

Rina:

I paused at that. “You would give yourself up to let us go?” I questioned doubtfully.

"My mistake, my problem to fix." I replied as if that explained everything.

Rina:

I shrugged. “Could you watch them for a little while?” I asked nodding to the girls. “I need a few moments to myself.” I explained.

I nodded and moved to the free horse, whispering quietly to it as I kept one eye on the girls.

Maleen:

Rina came over to us. “I’m going out for a bit. Be careful.” She warned. My heart jumped. “You’re leaving?” I asked in alarm. She paused. “Yes, I won’t be gone long.” She explained before heading off again. Even though she had been the one to kidnap me, and while she hadn’t showed violence toward me, she hadn’t exactly been kind, I was still a little nervous about being without her.

Wren:

I opened my eyes and looked around sleepily, just now realizing we had stopped.

Rina:

I bade my way through the trees with Iris following behind. Aero had stayed back with the girls. I found a spot where the trees hung over the water enough to conceal me. I left my bag and my weapons by a tree then waded into the water. I wiggled out of the clothes once my body was submerged and rinsed the mud out of them vigorously.

Talon:

I waited patiently, starting to remove my shoulder plates so I could bandage up my shoulder.

Maleen:

I slid off the horse and helped Wren off once she was awake. I glanced at Talon and noticed the blood. “You’re hurt.” I said with wide eyes.

Talon:

"Yeah, I'm low on energy, and I couldn't move as fast as I wanted." I admitted, removing more pieces of my armor and storing it in my bags on the horse.

Maleen:

“Well. I do know a healing spell or too.” I said walking over to him slowly. “And I don’t run out of energy, nature gives it to me. So if you want me to try.. It might be too deep for my powers.. but if you want..” I offered.
