"Heck, I have nothing to lose." I said, pulling of my chest piece, and setting it on the ground before slipping out of the shirt I had under that. My chest was bare now, and the lines of metal inbedded in skin were now exposed.

Maleen:

My eyes were drawn away from the wound and to the lines on his skin. Or under his skin rather. I couldn’t help but reach my finger out to touch one. My finger had a magnetic pull to it when it got closer. My eyes widened and I jerked my hand back. “That’s not natural. This is wrong. You weren’t born this way?” I asked worriedly still wide-eyed.

"No. I was removed a month early from my mother, and this was embedded into my skin." I remarked, looking down at her. "Your reaction is fairly common though."

Maleen:

“That’s horrible. It should have been reversed. It can’t be good for you.” I said in concern.

"It can't be reversed. It has been anchored to my life force. The metal absorbs energy and lift from the moon, improving my body and abilities. If I am hurt, I will heal with out any choice. If I grow tired, I can run off the energy the metal stores. But I am out." I stated simply.

Maleen:

I frowned and didn’t speak again as I started the spell to heal him. The skin knitted its self together slowly as I ran my finger over the cut.

I grimaced, the feeling of having your skin knit itself together had never been a fun one. It was both uncomfortable and itchy. A combination I was not fond of.

Maleen:

I watched his face. “Sorry.” I whispered once I was done. I hadn’t mastered the spell to prevent pain, just the healing ones.

"I have never gotten used to being healed." I remarked with another grimace. "Its uncomfortable but not bad."

Rina:

I walked up in a different change of clothes and my hair messily braided. “What’s going on?” I asked my eyes grazing over Talon’s bare chest.

"Maleen offered to heal me." I said simply. I turned to look at Rina, my eyes catching her messy braid, and her change of clothes. "Enjoy the bath?" I asked as I turned to start digging through my pack. My body itself was a maze of faint scars, marking my progress as a fighter.

Rina:

I shrugged as I walked closer focusing on the lines all over his body. “What is this?” I asked. Maleen filled me in in a hushed tone.

I rolled my shoulders, doing it unconsciously, to make sure I was healed and had a full range of motion.

Rina:

“So,” I started as I hung my wet clothes up. “you absorb power from the moon always, or just the full moon?” I asked Talon.

"Full moon sheds the most energy, but any amount will do. But when its a new moon, and there is no moon in the sky, I can't gather energy at all." I said. If they had been paying attention at all, then they would know that the moon had been getting smaller, and in a day or so would be gone until it started to show once more.

Rina:

“How much does it take for you to be fully ‘charged’”? I asked. It would be a while till the next full moon, which meant he probably wasn’t going to be at his best, which was much better for me.

"Fully Charged? A week with a full moon." I said with a shrug. Thinking about it, it had been a while since I had last been completely full.

Rina:

“That’s unfortunate.” I said while concealing a smirk. “Guess you’ll just have to rely of skill alone. Like the rest of us.”

"That is fine." I replied with a small shrug before reaching into my pack and offering out two weapons the same size as her two birds in weapon form. "Show me what you have got." I said, grabbing a shirt and slipping it on.

Rina:

I looked at the daggers before shaking my head and drawing my sword. “Let’s not get too close.” I said with a shrug.

smiled and drew the daggers moving out to the middle of the field before settling into a ready stance.

Rina:

I paused. “You aren’t going to use your sword?” I asked.

"Which sword?" I asked, never leaving my ready stance.

Rina:

“Which ever. I’d like for us to be evenly matched.” I said. “I’d prefer not to use daggers because I can do a lot of damage with mine. But if you insist..”

"Hm, your right. Being evenly matched is good." I said flicking one of the daggers to land, point down in the dirt by my pack. "There."
