School of Thought

Danny:

“You don’t have to do that you know, we have a cook.” I told him. “Just make yourself at home.”

Khoal:

"Well, what should I do?" I asked as if I wasn't sure there was anything to do should I not be able to help around the place.

Danny:

“Just relax, play a game, read a book, watch a movie. Just have fun.” I said with a little shrug.

I considered for a moment then nodded slowly. "I will see what I can come up with...when are you going to be home?"

Danny:

“By four or so.” I told him while checking my watch. “Really, you don’t have to do anything. Just relax.” I pressed.

Khaol:

I smiled and nodded. "I will do my best for you Danny." I gave him a playful look before clasping my hands behind me. I glanced around, snapped my fingers twice and was gone. The first was to stop the cameras from ever having seen me, the second was to make me vanish back home.

Danny:

I was left slightly dazed for a moment before turning to my sister. “We need to get you something to eat, then to your next class.” I told her, putting a hand on her back to hurry her out of the store.

Felicia:

I gave him a special smile one that showed I knew just what might be going through his head. "Aw...." I gushed to him before bursting into giggles.

Danny:

I rolled my eyes and gently pushed her along. We didn’t have time to get much in the way of lunch, but I got her a quick snack then hurried her off to her next class with a new notebook.

I gave my brother a hug before I stepped into the classroom. I sat at my desk and opened up my new notebook to write my name on the inside of the front.

Danny:

After the full day of classes I found Felicia and we were walking back to the car when Krista caught up to us. “You still down to go to the party Friday?” She asked as she slung an arm around my sister.

Felicia:

I blinked in confusion. "Party? What party?" I asked in full honesty. I faintly remembered something about a party, but then we had the magic lady and Khaol come and everything else got pushed aside in my head.

Danny:

“The party I was telling you about the other night. Its on Friday, do you still want to come?” She asked. “Is this a party I’m invited to?” I asked with raised eyebrows. “Don’t you think shed have more fun if she didn’t have a chaperone?” She replied playfully.

"Oh that party." She nodded as if she remembered but in her head she was still drawing a blank. "Well, sure it sounds fun."

Danny:

“Perfect, well, see you guys later.” She left with a wave. “You don’t have to go to the party if you don’t want to, I won’t let her pressure you into doing it if you don’t want to.” I told her seriously.

"I want to go...I want to learn how to be around people...like you can do it." I admitted softly, hugging myself as I shifted nervously.

Danny:

“You’re fine around people. But you can go. I just don’t want you to feel pressured into doing anything you don’t want to.” I explained, opening the car door for her once we reached it.

"But...when I get near too many people I start to freak out...if I go...can I bring my music? Just in case?" I begged up at him.

Danny:

“I suppose, but only ear buds.” I told her. She wouldn’t fit in if she had her headphones on the entire time. “Besides, I’m sure they will be playing their own music.”

"True...but I can live with earbuds. I just need something...just in case..." I squirmed nervously, "What do I wear to a party?"

Danny:

“Maybe we will ask Kohl when we get back to the house. I’m sure he will have the perfect thing.” I put my arm around her with a smile.

"Do you like Mister Kohl?" I asked him, as we walked to our waiting car.

Danny:

“I think he is very nice.” I said casually. I knew what she was asking, but I wasn’t going to let anything on.

"You know what I meant!"  I teased, bumping my hip to his.

Danny:

“Just get in the car.” I said helping her in as I held the door open.
