Zombies! (Open)

Emily:

I calmed down in a few moments just by hugging him.  “I’m sorry.”  I mumbled.  

Emily:

My eyes were teary when I durned to see myself.  It was dark, and the mirror was grimy, but it looked good to me.  “I think this is the best you’ve done yet.”  I said, quietly, still shaken by my near miss.  

Emily:

“Probably won’t take too long though.”  I  smiled a little and reached up to tug at his hair that had been recovering slowly from a buzz cut.  

Emily:

I was a little embarrassed to face the others.  I knew they must all be thinking that I was the weakest one in the group, and they weren’t wrong…  Except Elijah was weaker, but he was more a part of Kate, and she seemed very strong.  I followed my brother out all the same.   

Aiden:

There were still stray zombies circling around aimlessly, but far spread enough that we could get to the van.  The difficult task would be loading the supplied before they all got to us.  That wouldn’t be likely.   

Aiden:

“No guns, that will only draw them quicker.  If we have to take them out we will have to use knives.”  I said though I probably didn’t need to.  “We should get everything we’re taking and put it by the door, then I run and get the car and park it as close as I can.”

Kate:

I joined the two of them.  “If We get Elijah and Emily in the car first then I can cover the two of you while you load it.”  I said, knowing Everett would probably want Emily out of the way and I didn’t want to have Elijah on me if I was going to be anywhere close to a zombie.  

Kate:

I nodded then went to get her.  I asked if she could watch over Elijah while we loaded the back of the car.  It gave her something to do other than just stay out of the way.  And I felt safer with her watching him too. 

Aiden:

I went to the store room and started stacking all the things we were going to take.  

Aiden:

Once everything was ready at the door I made a run for the car.  I got there without incident but the zombies that had seen me had followed me to the suburban.  There were only four, and when I backed up, two of them went under the car and were squished by the tires.  

Kate:

“Thanks.”  I said quietly.  Emily had Elijah and they were both ready to get in the back seat as soon as Aiden got close enough.  He parked it with the tires at the curb, it was to high for the tires to go over.  That left us a few feet from the door.  I hurried Emily out and got her into the back seat as Aiden came around to start loading.  There were five zombies that could reach us before we left.  I walked to the closet one and stabbed it in the head with Everett’s knife.
