Boarding School for the Mythical

Velaric:

I walked right into the apartment without knocking while Sphinx followed me in. The sounds coming from the kitchen told me where they were. When I walked in, the happy look on Tabitha disappeared when he eyes fell on me instead of Sphinx. It was comically sad. “How’s the little warrior?” I asked, while staying several feet away from Vivian.

Vivian:

I gasped and smiled from my chair at Velaric and Sphinx. "Your back!" I got up out of my chair and beamed wide at them both. I had some remains of the mac'n'cheese on my face, but I had just finished the entire pot after all. I was finally full and as such I was excited and happy.

Tabitha:

I went over to Sphinx and kissed his cheek. “Are you going to stay the night?” I asked quietly, looking up at him.

Sphinx:

I hugged her around the waist, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "I don't know, am I? Would you have room for me?" I asked quietly back.

Vivian:

I climbed off the chair and ran over to Velaric. I stopped in front of him, put a fist into one hand and gave him a low formal bow. "Thank you Master Vampire for saving my life."

Tabitha:

“Well she Vivian can sleep on the couch.” I murmured to him while winding my arms around his neck. “And there is plenty of room in my bed for two…”

Velaric:

I raised my eyebrows at her. “You saved your own life little one. I only helped a little. No need to thank me.” I explained.

Sphinx:

"I thought you had a roommate for a while...isn't there an extra bedroom? I would be delighted to share your bed, I was just wondering for Vivian." I murmured back, leaning my forehead against hers.

vivian:

I wiggled my bandaged arm for him to see. "But I still got hurt, I would'a died if you hadn't saved me."

Tabitha:

I scrunched my nose in amusement. “I’ve been living on my own for a while now, just me and Shade. But the couch folds out into a bed.” I explained while absently playing with his hair.

Velaric:

I knelt down so as to be closer to her level. “I still think you would have been just fine if I hadn’t been there. You’re pretty tough.” I smiled at her.

Vivian:

I beamed at him, still having to look up to look at him. "Well, if I was bigger I could have roasted them all! But until then, I usually have Guardians...but I kind of ran away from them..." I ducked my head and kind of kicked at the ground.

Velaric:

“Well maybe we ought to find them, you know, just until you’ve grown up enough not to need them.” I said with a little smile.

"But...then I couldn't be around my friends..." I said gesturing to the people in the room.

Velaric:

“Only while your little right? And that won’t be for long. Isn’t it the safest place for you?” I lifted my eyebrows questioningly.

I shook my head, "I don't think so...they get kind of over protective when I die young in a life...or when something complicated happens...to sneak out I had to sneak out this last time I had to sneak into a load of garbage and I stayed with it until I was near the ocean...after that I stowed away on a fishing vessel. But I know in some lives I have been able to walk free when I was this old. But this time I was hardly ever let out of my rooms, and even then I had someone always with me...I hate being cooped up..."

Velaric:

“Even when it keeps you safe?” I asked with a little frown. I didn’t want the responsibility of her safety, not when I was just as big a threat to her as anything else.

"Its not safety...its imprisonment..." I muttered, my eyes gaining a faint glow to the irises. "...I think that the new head of the temple fell from his ideals...and so long as he can keep me out of the way he can do as he wants....the head controls everything until I become old enough and take over. It has always been that way...he isn't the first to try and keep me out of it. I know the signs."

Velaric:

“Then… Where do you want to stay?” I asked, kind of stumped.

"Someplace where I can be happy." I said with a nod. "I don't care about being safe. If I can't be happy, there is no point in being safe."

Velaric:

I stood up fluidly and looked at her consideringly. “Would you be happy if you stayed here? With Tabitha?” I asked.

"I don't know, I haven't tried that this life." I said with a shrug.

Velaric:

“Well maybe we should test it out for a little while. Just as long as you stay safe, and don’t put anyone here in danger.” I told her. While I didn’t care much for Tabitha, I did like the othergirl inside her.

"Why not with you? You saved my life, Tabitha fed me." I asked, not really expecting him to say I could live with him. I just wanted to hear him talk, it was pleasant to listen too.

Velaric:

“Because my kind isn’t known for being good with children or animals, as you might of noticed.” I gestured to the room, the fox fled the kitchen the moment I showed up.

"Well why not, that is just silly." I declared, putting my fists on my hip.

Velaric:

I sighed and shook my head. “You probably should get ready for bed, it’s late now. And I should go.” I told her then glanced at Sphinx.

I hesitated for only a moment before rushing forward and throwing my arms around him as best I could. I realized that he was a vampire and heat didn't go well with him. So I tried my best to keep my body temperature normal.

Velaric:

“No, Vivian.” I said softly, trying to pull her off of me as gently as possible. “I really can’t stay.”
