Velaric:

I rubbed her back and murmured comforting words. I wanted to get her out away from there before the people I called showed up. “Do you want to go home?” I asked her softly.

I nodded slowly. "C-check Tabitha...please?" I didn't move however, infact my fingers curled into his shirt gripping it lightly.

Velaric:

I could hear her breathing and the soft thrum of her heart beat. “She’s going to be okay. Can you walk? I’ll have to carry her back to the car.” I lifted her chin so I could look at her face.

I nodded slowly, though I was slow to remove myself from him. My eyes never left his as I knelt on the snow before working my way to my feet.

Velaric:

I slung Tabitha over my shoulder and moved to help Vivian up. I put my arm around her waist, taking most of her weight.

I put my arms around his waist, leaning into him.

Velaric:

I got them both back to the car. I laid Tabitha in the back seat then helped Vivian into the passenger side. I closed both doors and leaned against the car. Now where the hell was Sphinx?

I curled up on the passenger seat, looking out the window as I saw Sphinx coming dragging a bundle and tossing it to the ground beside the car. "We have trouble...Two liches, and a necromancer. Why are they gathering again? I thought the accords put down such practices."

Velaric:

"Accords can only hold back dark creatures for so long." I said dully, unsurprising by what he said, given what I had just seen with the girls. "I have someone coming to clean up a mess already. They'll get those too." I nodded to the bundle he tossed down. "We need to get the girls out of here. They were attacked by one already."

"Are they alright?" I asked in concern my eyes flicking towards the car as I frowned.

Velaric:

“They’re… okay. Let’s just go.” I stepped aside so he could get in the back next to the unconscious Tabitha. I went around to the driver’s side and slid in.

I nodded and once I was in the back I pulled Tabitha's head onto my lap through careful maneuvering.

Velaric:

I sped home, not speaking a word to them. I parked in the hotel garage, and turned to Vivian. “How are you doing?” I reached toward her, testing the air around her for excess heat.

My powers were still repressed and the air around me was just slightly warmer than a normal humans. "I feel sick...but...I'm calming down..."

Velaric:

“Do you need me to carry you up?” I asked as I touched her shoulder now that I knew she wouldn’t burn me up.

"I-I can walk..." I said looking at his hand then away. Every part of our fight flashed through my head and I couldn't help but want him to carry me but also wanting him to want to because he liked me, not because I nearly died.

Velaric:

"Okay." I said simply. I out of the car and went around to open the door for her. "I could give you a piggy back ride you know." I told her with a soft little smile.

"A piggy back? I'm not a..." MY cheeks colored as I saw his smile. I poked my tongue out at him, "Fine. You can give me a piggy back ride...just be happy I'm not gonna make you use the stairs...though I doubt that would inconvenience you at all!" I climbed out of the car and motioned with a finger for him to turn around.

Velaric:

I chuckled. “Not the slightest.” I told her, turning around and kneeling so she could climb onto my back.

I climbed onto his back, taking a small breath of his scent before laying my chin on his shoulder to watch where he took me. "Lucky I don't kick your vampire butt..." I murmured to him but without any venom in it.

Velaric:

I chuckled a shook my head. “Ah, like you could.” I teased her, squeezing her leg as I righted myself up and headed toward the elevator.

I giggled softly and lightly thumped my chin on his cold shoulder. "Don't tempt me...I will destroy you in a pillow fight..."

Velaric:

I paused on the steps up to the elevator. “Heh… Heh, heh… No.” I said dully, trying to keep that image out of my head.

"Why not? I'm sure I could win..." I leaned forward a bit to see his face. "What are you imagining Vel?"

Velaric:

I started walking again and pressed the button for the elevator. "Not that." I said flatly, forcing my mind to think of something else.
