A Personal War (closed)

"the first few drinks will be strange, but it grows on you."

I looked at him and shrugged, taking a small sip of it and grimacing a little. "It tastes horribly bitter... How can people like this?"

i laughed "I guess nobody truely likes it"

"I guess so." I laughed a little. "I'm not a fan of it, I'll stick to iced tea..." I grinned.

i laughed "that's your decision"

"That's my final decision." I pointed out to him.

i chuckled "whatever"

"Now can I sleep?" I asked and half smiled at him.

i nodded "go for it"

"Will you come join me in a few moments?" I asked softly and looked at him, my eyes a little hopeful.

i smiled "of course i will, i'm just gonna watch the sun go down for a bit"

"Alright." I smiled a little and tucked my head back in, somehow getting out of my dress and just bunching it up and using it as a pillow, just falling asleep in my shift

i smiled and turned my attention to the firey skies

I smiled a little, seeing his sillouette through the tent wall and closed my eyes, feeling content with everything. Somehow it seemed to all fit together. Everything would be alright- I just knew it.

as the sky darkened i stood and climbed into the tent and lay down

I faintly felt movement inside the tent and snuggled closer him him, trying to get a little warmer, then faded back to sleep.

i smiled and wrapped my arm over her

I rolled over and stretched, the sun blinding me through the tent walls. "Mom turn the light off!" I groaned and covered my eyes, still half awake.

"who are you calling mom?" i mumbled softly

I fully opened my eyes and focused on him. "Oh, I was half awake I'm sorry Nik... My mom always used to wake me up by turning my bedside lamp on." I yawned a little.

i laughed softly "it's fine, i figured you were still half asleep"

I chuckled and blushed really bad. "So, um how long have you been awake?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"Half an hour at the most" i said answered softly
