Witching Season (2 person/ spot saved for Tyrial )

I blinked then blushed. "So you were the warm thing last night. Well...as long as yyou were comfertable..." ictrailed off shyly, digging my foot invthe leaves a bit.

"Yeah . . I was." Admitted softly as I ate a few berries. I still felt a bit bad that I had been using him as a pillow and such, and yet at the same time I was sort of happy. "So, when will we get to the town?" I asked curiously. "Don't we need to get things so we can make it over the mountain?" I asked, looking up and seeing them in the distance.

Appreciating the changevofvsubject I pulled out the map and inspected it. "Mid day i believe." I said considering the map still. "We can stay in an inn for the night and be well rested for tomorrow.

"That sounds good to me." I said with a small smile before I ate some of the meat. I wasn't looking forward to much to the cold of the mountain, but I guessed there was no way around it. Whatever got us to the kingdom faster. "How many days do you think it will take to get over the mountain?" I asked curiously.

I bit my lip. "Three days if we hustle. Going downcis a lot easier thancgoing up. Especially with the sleds." I said smiling.

Three days didn't sound to bad. With a little help from magic now and then I was sure it would go by quickly enough. "I'm looking forward to going down the mountain." I said with a small laugh.

I smiled and nodded. "I bet." I replied, eating a bit ofvthe meat.

"And I got you there with me, so climbing a mountain won't be so bad I suppose." I said with a smile as I finished eating. I started to wrap up the leftover berries for later.

I blushed and nodded in appreciation. I picked up my sketchbook and pulled out the page before offering it to her.

I looked up and saw he was handing me the paper. I took it and smiled, just looking at it. "You are so wonderful." I told him. And then looked at him to ask "Don't you want to keep it?"

I winked at her. " well i figure i will have a chance to draw you again so..."

I blushed and hid behind the picture, giggling softly. "I suppose you're right." I said and smiled at him before looking back at the picture. "Can you hold it for me? I don't have anywhere to put it yet, and I don't want it to get ruined." I said.

I nodded, fighting avgrin at her giggle. I put itvback into my sketchbook before packing all of my stuff up. I felt really happy all of a sudden. If things went well, then in ten or so days we would reach the capital city so i could get her to my king.

"Thank you very much." I said, meaning it for everything he had done for me so far. Then, without really thinking about it, I gently pecked him on the cheek before putting out the fire. "Let's go." I said with a smile, doing my best not to blush like mad and keep my act together. I quickly started to walk in the derection we needed to go to get to the town.

I froze and stood theircspeechless, a combined shocked and happy expression on my face. My face felt like it was on fire as i got to my feet. I grabbed my backpack and shouldered it, uncertain of what i should docabout the kiss. What could it have meant? And why did she do it?

I glanced behind me to look at him, and stopped as I watched him get up with a shocked expression on his face, but he looked sort of happy at the same time- as well as confused. I smiled at this, glad he wasn't praying to god or something to save him from the sin of a witch's kiss or something like that. "Come on now." I giggled. "Or I'll leave you behind." I said jokingly before turning and starting to walk again.

I shook my head, to clear my thoughts before hustling after her. I wanted to ask what that was for, but my brain was still kind of shorting out. My mouth wasn't working well either, so I just kept it closed and stayed quiet. The last thing I needed was for myself to embarrass myself horribly in front of her.

After a long while of walking in silence I decided to try and get something out of him, so we could break it. "Have you ever been to the town we are going to stop at?" I asked curiously.

I shook my head. "No, we are still in the wrong country for that." I responded. "I skipped this one on the way to get you." I added smiling at her. "Dont worry once we are over the mountain, it wont be long to take you to some of the places i know."
